Work Performed on Holidays. An employee who is eligible for overtime compensation and who is assigned by his/her department head, or designee, to work on any of the holidays listed above shall receive straight time pay for all hours worked on the holiday and shall have eight hours holiday credited to his/her compensatory time off balance. (Normal overtime provisions as outlined within this agreement still apply.) An employee who is not eligible for overtime compensation and who is assigned by his/her department head, or designee, to work on any of the holidays listed above shall receive his/her regular pay for time worked on the holiday and shall have eight hours holiday credited to his/her administrative leave account and said hours shall be used by December 31st of the year credited, otherwise the hours shall be forfeited.
Work Performed on Holidays. An employee assigned by the department head, or his/her designated representative, to work on any of the holidays listed above shall receive one and one-half times his/her regular straight time rate of pay in addition to regular holiday pay.
Work Performed on Holidays. An employee who works on an observed holiday shall receive, in addition to the holiday pay provided for in Section 2 of this Article, one and one- half (1-1/2) times the straight time rate for the first eight (8) hours worked. An employee who works more than eight (8) hours on any of the above mentioned holidays shall be paid two and one-half (2-1/2) times the straight time rate for all hours worked in excess of eight (8).
Work Performed on Holidays. Work done by employees who are required to work on a scheduled holiday will be considered overtime as outlined by the provisions of this Agreement in Article 7.4.
Work Performed on Holidays. If an employee performs work on a paid holiday, he/she shall receive his/her holiday pay computed as above, in addition to pay at time and one-half for the time actually worked. An employee who is scheduled to work on a paid holiday who does not work, unless excused, must provide doctor’s verification of illness to remain eligible for holiday pay.

Work Performed on Holidays. An employee who works on an observed holiday shall receive, in addition to the holiday pay provided for in Section 2 of this Article, one and one-half times the straight-time rate for any actual hours worked that day.
Work Performed on Holidays. The City and the Association agree that Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Dispatch Lead are scheduled to work on the aforementioned holidays as a matter of health and safety of the Community. In lieu of the aforementioned holidays, the City agrees to pay Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Dispatch Lead one and one-twelfth (1-1/12) days straight-time pay per month in lieu of having the holiday off. Employees required to work on a holiday they were not scheduled for according to the shift they bid or regularly work, they will be compensated at one and one-half (1 ½) times their hourly rate of pay for each hour so worked. Additionally, shall receive time off equivalent to the number of hours worked on the non-scheduled holiday. This time to be scheduled by the department head based on the wishes of the employee and the needs of the City. Employees who actually work on an aforementioned holiday shall receive an additional ½ time pay or compensatory time off (CTO). This section applies to employees previously scheduled to work this day, not employees who sign up for overtime. However, if an employee is working this shift due to a shift trade, the employee who actually works the hours is the employee who receives the additional time off or pay. Non- dispatch employees (Records Clerk, and Community Service Officer) are not eligible for this additional time unless the holiday falls on a day they are routinely scheduled to work in dispatch, or they are working a shift trade, and they do not qualify for the additional ½ time pay or CTO hours if they signed up to work voluntary overtime on this day.
Work Performed on Holidays. 14.2.1 The City and the BFA agree that public safety employees are scheduled to work on the aforementioned holidays as a matter of health and safety of the community. Prior to September of 2011, the City paid sworn employees represented by the BFA a Holiday in lieu payment, and in 2011 negotiated discontinuing holiday in lieu.
14.2.2 The Fire Captain/Administrative will observe the twelve (12) paid holidays listed in Section 13.1. For time worked on a holiday the Fire Captain/Administrative will be paid at the rate of one-and-one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay.
14.2.3 Unless otherwise directed by the Fire Chief based upon the essential operational needs to the department, a modified work schedule consisting of routine equipment and station maintenance, apparatus and equipment readiness, public education and/or customer service programs/issues, and emergency work will be in effect on designated holidays.
Work Performed on Holidays. 14.2.1 The City and the BFA agree that public safety employees are scheduled to work on the aforementioned holidays as a matter of health and safety of the community. Prior to September of 2011, the City paid sworn employees represented by the BFA a Holiday in lieu payment, and in 2011 negotiated discontinuing holiday in lieu. Effective the first full pay period in July 2017, 0.5% of base salary wages shall be paid towards holiday pay. Effective the first full pay period in July 2018, an additional 0.75% of base salary wages shall be paid for a total of 1.25% towards holiday pay. The parties have agreed to reinstate the Holiday in lieu program as follows. For fiscal year 2012-13, sworn employees represented by the BFA shall be paid the equivalent of 1.642% of base salary schedule wages earned for the months of July- December 2012 (six months). This payment shall be made on December 15th, 2012 (or as soon thereafter as this agreement is adopted by the City Council). For fiscal year 2013-14, sworn employees represented by the BFA shall be paid the equivalent of 0.821% of base salary schedule wages earned for the months of July 2013 through June 2014 (12 months). This payment shall be made on June 15th, 2014.
