FLSA Premium. Bargaining unit members shall receive monthly compensation of 2.27% of total pay (base plus differentials such as holiday pay, paramedic pay, and/or bilingual pay) to satisfy the City’s obligatory payment of overtime hours worked during the current 27 day FLSA duty cycle. The additional 2.27% compensation is intended as a premium payment witnin the meaning of FLSA Section 7(e)(7) and the parties specifically intend the premium payment to be creditable toward FLSA overtime compensation pursuant to FLSA Section 7(h). The parties have calculated the 2.27% premium to meet the FLSA overtime payment for regularly scheduled overtime within the 27 day FLSA cycle. Overtime compensation is not PERSable. The 2.27% FLSA overtime is statutorily reportable to CalPERS for any hours worked over 53 hours per week and up to 56 hours per week. Overtime hours worked beyond 56 hours are not reportable to CalPERS consistent with the California Code of Regulations Section 571. Employees working a 40-hour workweek are not entitled to receive the 2.27% FLSA overtime differential.

FLSA Premium. Under the FLSA and Section 7(k), overtime pay is only required when the employee actually works in excess of 182 hours in a 24-day period. All firefighters in each shift will work exactly eight 24-hour work shifts every 24-day period. The start time of the 24-day work period for line employees to 8 am to align with the employees’ start time. Shift in start time will be effective the first full pay period in January 2022. City and the Union agree to meet and confer prior to February 2022 on creating a time worked provision/constant FLSA pay system and /or moving to a 14 day FLSA cycle. The parties understand that the City has the management right to administer its payroll system in compliance with the law and also understands that all impacts of any resulting changes to employee compensation must be negotiated.

  • Shift Premium Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of ninety-five cents (95c/ ) per hour for each hour worked between 1500 hours and 0700 hours provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift.

  • Night Premium For all time worked by employees, after 7 p.m. and before 7 a.m., by employees hired on or before August 5, 2005, a premium of twenty-five cents (25¢) per hour shall be paid.

  • Night Shift Premium Any employee who is required to work on any day when the majority of their working hours fall between 10.00 p.m. and 5.00 a.m., or who starts their shift prior to 5.00 a.m., shall be paid a premium, in addition to their regular, hourly rate, of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for all hours worked on the shift. Shift premium pay shall not be added to an employee’s hourly rate for the purpose of computing overtime. This clause shall not result in duplication of premiums.

  • First Aid Premium First Aid Premiums shall apply when an employee is assigned by the Employer to be a First Aid Attendant on a job site and shall be paid as follows: Level II - $1.00 per hour. Level III - $2.00 per hour.

  • Overtime Premium (a) Employees shall be entitled to payment of time and one-half (1-1/2X) the employee's basic straight time hourly rate for all authorized overtime work in excess of seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours in a tour of duty or in excess of the average full-time hours of work over the period scheduled by the Hospital. Such period for this purpose shall not exceed two (2) weeks. It is understood that no overtime will be paid where the time worked was a result of an exchange at shifts between employees. Overtime shall be distributed as equally as practical among those employees normally performing the type of work to be done on overtime. Notice of overtime work shall be given as soon as practically possible. It is understood and acknowledged that the Hospital has the right to require employees to perform reasonably authorized overtime work. Call-back shall not be considered as hours worked for purposes of this Article. Overtime premium will not be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall other premiums be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which the overtime premium is paid. Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.

  • Overtime Premium Pay Time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's straight time rate of pay shall be paid for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one workweek.

  • Weekend Premium Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and ten cents ($1.10) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.

  • Overtime and Premium Pay Section 1. Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times an employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay shall be paid for all work over forty (40) hours in one (1) week.

  • Training Premium Qualified Operators selected by the Employer to train new Operators shall be paid a training premium of 40¢ per hour while engaged in training work.

  • BUYER’S PREMIUM A Buyer’s Premium fee of 10% of the Bid Price or $1,000 Auction Service Fee, whichever amount is greater, will be added to the High Bid amount.
