Free Days. (a) For non-working days, one-half of the musician’s actual performing fee shall be paid, in addition to all other payments. (b) If the opening day of a tour is a non-working day, a half fee shall be payable in addition to all other payments. (c) If the final day of a tour is a non-working day, a half fee shall be payable only when the return time to the musician’s normal centre of employment is after 1pm. ‘Return time’ is defined with reference to the distance to be travelled by the musician from his/her overnight accommodation to his/her normal centre of employment, a nominal departure time of 8.30am, and an average speed of travel of 50mph.

Free Days. 5.11.1 There will be 100 free days per year. 5.11.2 A minimum of 26 days will be given as 13 pairs of consecutive days. 5.11.3 There will be a minimum of one pair of consecutive free days in any four-week period. 5.11.4 There will be a minimum of twenty free days per quarter (BBC weeks: 1-13, 4-26, 27-39, 40-52/53). The minimum of twenty free days per quarter will be reduced by 1 free day pro rata to the number of weeks of Annual Leave falling in that quarter. 5.11.5 In each period of two BBC weeks there will be at least two free days.

Free Days. MM&P Top 5 Mates shall bid, by seniority, two (2) consecutive free days per week; open free days to be bid will be designated by the WSF, which will be repeated every week on the same consecutive days. A Mate who chooses to observe all free days for the work period may notify the WSF Dispatch Coordinator for MM&P on the Wednesday prior to a new work period. By exercising this option, Dispatch will not be required to call the employee to work on their free days during the work period in which free days are claimed.

Free Days. On the Relief deck employees free days, vacation and sick leave time off, there is not a requirement for the employee to call back. Should a Relief deck employee choose to have their free day observed, they will not be called for work on their free day during day to day dispatch. If an employee chooses not to return a call on their free day, dispatch shall not be obligated to wait fifteen (15) minutes on any subsequent calls for the employee to return a call and shall move on down the list, and all the subsequent jobs offered do not qualify for bypass pay.

Free Days earned by a Member do not constitute property of such Member and cannot be redeemed for cash or other value at any time including upon termination of Membership.
