Grievance Procedure Time Limits. The time limits in the grievance and adjudication procedure are mandatory, but an adjudicator or adjudication board may waive a failure to meet a time limit if it is satisfied that:
(a) there are reasonable grounds for doing so, and
(b) the other party will not be substantially prejudiced by the relief.
Grievance Procedure Time Limits. 7.06.01 The following will apply at all Steps of the grievance procedure.
7.06.02 A grievance hearing will be held within 10 calendar days of receipt by the Company of a written notice of grievance, or of receipt of notice of appeal.

7.06.06 The time limits specified above may be extended by mutual agreement in writing.

Notwithstanding Article 7.03 the parties agree to extend the time limits of all grievances at step 2 to be heard at the pre-scheduled bi-monthly ONA/Management Committee Meetings or on an ad hoc basis where combining with this meeting is not practical for all parties.
Grievance Procedure Time Limits. 1. It is the intent of the parties to resolve grievances at the level closest to the worksite whenever possible.

4. Grievances filed on or after May 1 shall be processed expeditiously in an attempt to achieve resolution prior to the end of the work year. Notwithstanding the expiration of the Agreement, any complaint or grievance having begun there under shall be processed to completion under the terms and conditions of the Agreement at the time the grievance was initiated.

If the Union fails to comply strictly with such time limits except by the written agreement of the parties, such failure shall result in the grievance being deemed to have been abandoned.
