Individual Orientations. In the event the District conducts one-on-one orientations with new employees, CSEA shall have thirty (30) minutes of paid release time for one (1) CSEA representative to conduct the orientation session. The orientation session shall be held on District property, during the workday of the employee(s), who shall be on paid time. During CSEA’s orientation session, no District manager or supervisor, or non-unit employee shall be present.
Individual Orientations. In the event the District conducts one-on-one orientations 4 with new employees, which may include a required meeting with a District 5 representative to complete pre-employment paperwork, SRTA shall have up to thirty
Individual Orientations. The District shall conduct one-on-one orientations with new employees. A CSEA representative shall be notified of the date and time of the orientation and shall be allowed to participate in such orientation. For each orientation, CSEA shall be allowed up to 45 minutes of release time to attend the orientations, and applicable travel time of up to twenty (20) minutes for one (1) CSEA representative. CSEA may elect to meet separately with the new employees for up to fifteen (15) minutes without management or other non-bargaining unit representatives present; the release time for such separate meetings shall be part of the forty- five (45) minutes of total release time provided to CSEA. Said release time shall not be counted against the total release time contained elsewhere in the collective bargaining agreement. The CSEA Labor Relations Representative may also attend the orientation session.

In the event the District conducts one-on-one or small group orientations with new employees hired during the school year, Association shall have up to thirty (30) minutes of exclusive presentation time at the orientation session. The District shall provide paid release time to an Association representative to conduct the orientation session, including travel time. This release time shall not be counted against the total release time contained in Section 5. The LCMEA/CTA Staff Representative may also attend the orientation session.

In the event the District conducts one-on-one orientations with new employees, CSEA shall have a minimum of sixty (60) minutes of paid release time, including travel, for one (1) CSEA representative to conduct the orientation session. Said release time shall not be counted against the total release time contained elsewhere in the collective bargaining agreement. The CSEA Labor Relations Representative may also attend the orientation session.

The District shall provide paid release time of one (1) hour to a BEA representative, including travel time, to conduct the orientation session. Said release time shall not be counted against the total release time contained elsewhere in the collective bargaining agreement. The BEA/CTA Staff Representative may also attend the orientation session.
Individual Orientations. For new unit members who are hired after the beginning of the school year, the District will provide a membership authorization form, approved by the Union, in all new hire packets. Due to the urgent and unforeseen critical need to fill positions during the school year, the district need not give ten (10) days notice to the Union but shall provide notice as soon as possible upon learning of the new hire. Union Representatives already in Union Release positions shall have up to thirty (30) minutes to meet with the new bargaining unit members. If the Union does not have Representatives already in Union Release positions, then the District will provide up to thirty
Individual Orientations. In the event the District conducts a one-on-one orientation with a new hire as opposed to a group orientation, BTA shall have fifteen (15) minutes of paid release time for one (1) BTA representative to conduct the orientation session. The BTA Labor Relations Representative (i.e. one (1) Labor Relations Representative from CTA Regional Office) may also attend the orientation session.

In the event the District conducts one-on-one 18 orientations with new employees, which may include a required 19 meeting with a District representative to complete pre-employment 20 paperwork, SRTA shall have up to thirty (30) minutes of exclusive 21 presentation time at the orientation session. Unless there is a full time 22 release president, the District shall provide paid release time of one
23 (1) hour for two (2) SRTA representatives for each group orientation, 24 including travel time. Said release time shall be debited from the 25 president's release time (see Article 2.5.1) on an hourly basis. The 26 SRTA / CTA Staff Representative may also attend the orientation 27 session.

In the event the District conducts one-on-one orientations with new employees, the Association shall have up to thirty (30) minutes of exclusive presentation time at the orientation session. The District shall provide paid release time of forty-five (45) minutes to an Association representative to conduct the orientation session. The GUTA Staff Representative may also attend the orientation session.
