Industry Development Fund. A. As set forth in Article XIV, the Employer shall pay to the Northern Mechanical/Plumbing Industry Development Fund, Inc. the amount stipulated per hour for each hour worked per journeymen and apprentices covered by this Agreement. The Northern Mechanical/Plumbing Industry Development Fund Inc., shall have the right to unilaterally increase or decrease the contribution rate to this Fund during the terms of this agreement as set forth in Article II, Section A. Any such increase would be in addition to the Total Package wage increase set forth in Article XIV and any decrease would result in the same decrease in the Total Package. Contributions provided for in this Article will be used to promote programs of industry education and training, negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, research and promotion, programs serving to expand the market for the services of the plumbing/mechanical industry, to improve the technical and business skills of Employers, to stabilize and improve Employer-Union relations, and to promote support and improve the employment opportunities for employees. No part of any such payments, however, shall be used for any other purpose except as expressly specified above.

Industry Development Fund. The employers agree to pay to the Industry Development Fund on each hour worked the amount as shown on the wage rate and fringe benefit schedule in Appendix (C) on work coming within the provisions of this Agreement. The Industry Development Fund is to be administered in accordance with an Agreement and Declaration of Trust that shall be used for the purpose of promoting the good and welfare of this industry in accordance with purposes set forth in the declaration. It is agreed that no funds shall be used to assist any employer involved in a strike, work stoppage or picketing of this or any other union, or to promote, aide or assist any anti-union program or activity.   • CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTION FUND 19.01 The Employer shall contribute to the Union’s Construction Industry Development and Promotion Fund (the “Industry Fund”) the amount identified at Schedule “A” for each hour worked by each employee covered by this Agreement, and it shall remit such contributions to the Union together with union dues, and in the manner described in the Remittances to the Union article and in the Union’s remittance directives.

  • Faculty Development Faculty who develop and/or teach Distance Education courses shall be provided with reasonable technical support and opportunities for Faculty development, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.

  • Policy Development 2.2.1 LIDDA shall develop and implement policies to address the needs of the LSA in accordance with state and federal laws. The policies shall include consideration of public input, best value, and individual care issues.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Committee Operation a. The committee shall be chaired jointly by a committee member from the Association and a committee member from the Board.
