Institutional Commitments. A. The Responsibilities of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program are to:
1. Publicize the availability of the agreement;
2. Make the University of Bridgeport application materials available to students interested in participating in this agreement;
3. Counsel and/or advise CT-CCNP students interested in attending the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Bridgeport.
4. Identify prospective students interested in enrolling in the RN to BSN Program and share the information with the University of Bridgeport;
5. Designate personnel to work with staff at the University of Bridgeport to implement an effective communication plan to interested students; and
6. Work with the University of Bridgeport staff/faculty to coordinate information sessions for prospective students.
B. The Responsibilities of the University of Bridgeport are to:
1. Designate the Nursing Admission Counselor to serve as the point of contact for students interested in, and admitted to, the RN to BSN Program at the University of Bridgeport;
2. Develop a fee-waived application for CT-CCNP students interested in the RN to BSN Program;
3. Designate the faculty advisor and other personnel to be the points of contact for the agreement;
4. Ensure that the University of Bridgeport faculty advisor and staff provide planned advisement sessions for each of the five participating community colleges; and
5. Work with CT-CCNP personnel to coordinate information sessions for prospective students.
6. With student permission, share the enrolled and graduated University of Bridgeport RN- BSN students’ names that are CT-CCNP graduates, on a semester basis with the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program.
C. The Joint Responsibilities of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program and the University of Bridgeport are to:
1. Conduct forums/workshops for counselors, admissions representatives, department chairs and other identified staff from both institutions to discuss expectations, review program requirements, develop promotional materials, and discuss curriculum and course equivalencies; and make available system to system informational/marketing materials for the agreement. Therefore, within the limits of available resources and within the University's discretion, the University acknowledges its commitment to provide libraries, technology, classroom assignments, and faculty support responsive to the needs of students and faculty to meet the research mission and instructional/pedagogical needs of the departments, consistent with high quality research and teaching at a nationally recognized research university.
B. When faculty are required to travel on approved University business, the University will reimburse for such travel. The University's Business and Financial Policies and Procedures provide complete guidelines for these reimbursements. Travel for University related business should be conducted as economically as possible.
C. Faculty performing employment duties are provided legal coverage as set forth in and under the terms of the University of Illinois Liability Self-Insurance Plan, as that plan may be amended from time to time.
D. Faculty may request health-related accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or otherwise by contacting the Office of Access and Equity to request such accommodations.
E. The University will provide each bargaining unit position a new computer not to exceed $1,500 (plus the cost of a three-year extended warranty) to be chosen from a set of available and supported configurations from the campus office of Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC). This program for provision of new computers will extend through August 15, 2022, and computers will be replaced if an existing computer is more than four years old during the term of this Collective Bargaining Agreement. The University will provide hardware support during the time the computer is covered by warranty and is assigned to the original bargaining unit position. In accord with the State of Illinois and University procurement rules, the assigned computer remains property of the University and assigned to the department. Computer use is subject to the applicable Acceptable Usage Policy promulgated by ACCC, as such policy may be amended from time to time. Institutional Commitments a. Both parties may individually inform local K12 employers about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program and encourage K12 employers to commit to hiring graduates of the College who wish to enter the program.
b. Both parties may individually inform potential students about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program. Examples of possible informational activities may include, but are not limited to, media announcements, brochures or fliers, information sessions for students at the College.
c. Both parties may individually inform the College faculty and staff about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program and encourage them to notify students and prospective students about the program.
d. Either party may make media and other public announcements about this Agreement and the Job-Embedded Transfer Program; provided, however, that prior to a party making any such announcement, that party will provide the other party reasonable advance notice and the opportunity to collaborate in the announcement.

4. Designate personnel to work with staff at Sacred Heart University to implement an effective communication plan to interested students; and
5. Work with Sacred Heart University faculty to coordinate information sessions for prospective students.
B. The Responsibilities of Sacred Heart University are to: Rev. 8/15 SAW
1. Designate the Admissions Officer or Transfer and Articulation Officer that will serve as the point of contact for students interested in, and admitted to, the RN to BSN Program at Sacred Heart University;
2. Develop a fee-waived application for CT-CCNP students interested in the RN to BSN program ;
3. Designate the faculty advisor and other personnel to be the points of contact for the pathway agreement;
4. Ensure that the Sacred Heart University faculty advisor and staff provide planned advisement sessions at each of the six participating community colleges; and
5. Work with CT-CCNP personnel to coordinate information sessions for prospective students.
6. Pending student approval, share enrollment and graduation information of enrolled Sacred Heart University RN-BSN students that are CT-CCNP graduates on a semester basis with the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program.

5. Designate personnel to work with staff at COSC to implement an effective communication plan to Dual Admission students; and
6. Work with COSC staff to coordinate information sessions for prospective Dual Admissions Students.
B. The Responsibilities of Charter Oak State College:
1. Designate the Admissions Counselor(s) that will serve as the point of contact for students interested in, and admitted to, the Dual Admission Program;
2. Provide a fee waiver for the admission application for the Dual Admission Program;
3. Ensure that the COSC Admissions Counselor(s) provides planned advisement sessions for Dual Admission students; and
4. Work with CT-CCNP personnel to coordinate information sessions for prospective Dual Admission students.
C. The Joint Responsibilities of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program and Charter Oak State College are to:
