The 'Instructional Coach' clause defines the role, responsibilities, and expectations for an instructional coach within an organization or educational setting. Instructional Coach. A teacher assigned to the position of Literacy Coach and a teacher assigned to the position of Math Coach shall receive additional compensation in the amount of $5,000 to compensate for an extended school day and an extended school year. The parties recognize that any position which is created with funds from a grant will be eliminated when the grant ends.
Instructional Coach. The instructional coaches shall not have a formal evaluative role. An instructional coach shall not be requested or directed to make any recommendation regarding the continued employment of the teacher, and their activities are not part of the evaluation process. No instructional coach shall be requested or directed to divulge information from the written documentation or confidential instructional coach discussions.
Instructional Coach. An instructional coach shall be a teacher with the expressed responsibility of coordinating all district and/or site activities related to designing and conducting staff development training designed to improve teacher and school performance. The assignment of the instructional coach shall be made by the superintendent of schools or designee. This compensation shall not be added to base pay for purposes of computing base salary for subsequent years. Only teachers who have completed a District sponsored teacher coaching/mentoring training program and have served in the District for at least five (5) years will
Instructional Coach. 1. The district, in agreement with the Rochester Education Association, referred to hereafter as The Association, may employ instructional coaches to support the ongoing work of educators in the school district. It is understood that this work involves contact time with educators and administrators during the regular contract day as well as outside of the regular contract day. It is also understood that the total number of hours instructional coaches work in a year is not meant to exceed the total number of contract hours for certificated employees. 2. Instructional coach positions shall not add to or impact the workload of Bargaining Unit Members. Should an instructional coach position impact the aforementioned, the district shall first ensure that the Bargaining Unit position to be vacated will remain intact until a permanent replacement (for the duration of the instructional coach assignment) has been determined and hired. 3. An employee serving as an instructional coach shall be entitled to all contractual rights and economic provisions of this Agreement. 4. It is possible for a certificated member to serve as both a teacher and instructional coach. In these situations, the member will be evaluated in accordance with Article 26. 5. Instructional coaches will be evaluated in accordance with Article 27. 6. These positions shall serve as non-administrative, or non-supervisory and shall not have the authority to discipline, evaluate, or make recommendations or suggestions on the performance of a Bargaining Unit Member. Any information obtained by an instructional coach when working with other Bargaining Unit Members shall be treated as confidential between the two members except as required by law. Information gathered while assisting other employees shall be deemed confidential and shall not be used for or during any part of a Bargaining Unit Member’s evaluation. 7. Instructional coach positions will be posted in accordance with Article 23. 8. Each spring, instructional coaches will be asked if they would like to continue in their position or return to the classroom. Instructional coaches wishing to return to the classroom will be given preference for filling available positions for which they qualify. 9. Instructional coach positions shall not reduce the annual school certificated classroom staffing allocation.

Instructional Coach. A. An Instructional Coach is a teacher who provides assistance to a unit member. The minimum qualifications for an Instructional Coach shall include the following: 1. A credentialed classroom teacher with permanent status. 2. Substantial recent experience in classroom instruction. 3. Demonstrates exemplary teaching ability, as indicated by, among other things, effective communication skills, subject matter knowledge, and mastery of a range of teaching strategies necessary to meet the needs of pupils in different contexts. Coaches shall be compensated at their daily rate determined by their placement on the certificated salary schedule (daily rate x 197). The thirteen (13) days beyond the certificated contract work year (184 days) shall be mutually agreed upon by the Instructional Coach and the District. C. The District agrees to indemnify and hold harmless and provide a defense to the Association or any Instructional Coaches against any claims, causes of action, damages, grievances, administrative proceedings or any other litigation arising from their participation in the coaching program. The District will pay legal costs and fees in such actions. The Association retains the right to select its own attorney at Association expense to represent it in such actions. An Instructional Coach may choose to retain his or her right to select his or her own attorney, at his or her own expense, to represent him or her in such actions.
Instructional Coach. Unit member who works collaboratively to support a member in the unit member’s practice and whose activities are not part of the evaluation process.

  • Instructional Materials A. The Board recognizes that appropriate texts, library reference facilities, maps and globes, laboratory equipment, audio-visual equipment, art supplies, athletic equipment, current periodicals, standard tests and questionnaires, computers, and similar materials are the tools of the teaching profession.   • INSTRUCTIONAL MINUTES a) When CONTRACTOR is an NPS, the total number of instructional minutes per school day provided by CONTRACTOR shall be at least equivalent to the number of instructional minutes per school day provided to LEA students at like grade level, attending LEA schools, unless otherwise specified in the student’s IEP/IFSP, and shall be specified in the LEA student’s ISA developed in accordance with the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP. b) For NPS students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12, unless otherwise specified in the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP, the number of instructional minutes, excluding recess, lunch, and passing time, shall be at least the minimum as specified in Education Code Sections 46110-46147, and in no case will be less than the amount as specified in the IEP/IFSP. In addition, the total number of annual instructional minutes shall be at least equivalent to the total number of annual instructional minutes provided to LEA students attending LEA schools in like grade level unless otherwise specified in the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP. c) When CONTRACTOR is a NPA and/or related services provider, the total number of minutes per school day provided by CONTRACTOR shall be specified in the LEA student’s ISA developed in accordance with the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP.

  • Instructions (a) The data importer shall process the personal data only on documented instructions from the data exporter. The data exporter may give such instructions throughout the duration of the contract. (b) The data importer shall immediately inform the data exporter if it is unable to follow those instructions.
