Lieu Time for Overtime. Where a full-time and regular part-time nurse has worked and accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours relating to paid holidays) such nurse shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e., where the applicable rate is 1½, then time off shall be at 1½ times). Where a nurse chooses equivalent time off such time off must be taken as set out below, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. Nurses in the bargaining unit engaged in teaching in Schools for R.P.N.’s working overtime in excess of their average weekly hours referred to in Article 15.01(c) which have been authorized in advance by the Director of the School, shall be entitled to compensating time off in accordance with the foregoing. Nurses will be allowed to accumulate lieu time off for overtime worked up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) hours. If accumulated time is not taken, nurses will be automatically paid at appropriate rates for all hours in excess of one hundred.

Lieu Time for Overtime. J.1 (a) Full-time Employees Only Where an employee has worked and accumulated approved hours for which she or he is entitled to be paid premium pay (other than hours relating to working on paid holidays) such employee shall select payment at the applicable premium rate or time off equivalent to the applicable premium rate, i.e., where the applicable rate is time and one-half (1 ½) then time off shall be at time and one-half (1½). Such time off shall not accumulate in excess of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours and must be taken within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days of accrual. Such time off to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time.

Such time off shall not accumulate in excess of seventy five (75) hours and must be taken within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days of accrual. Such time off to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time. Requests to utilize banked time will not unreasonably denied. Effective March 31, 2024 hours in excess of seventy-five (75) will be paid out on the pay period prior to March 31st of each fiscal year.
Lieu Time for Overtime. There shall be no scheduling of time off the job in lieu of overtime worked.
