LPDC. Membership of the committee shall consist of four (4) members of the Rossford Association of Classroom Teachers appointed by the President and three (3) district Administrators appointed by the Superintendent. All members of the RACT will be considered in this manner regardless of license. When consideration of an Administrative license takes place the Committee Administrators vote shall be doubled. The terms of each member shall be as follows; RACT shall replace or re- appoint two (2) members each year. New members will be submitted to the Superintendent to be approved by the Board of Education. All teacher member terms shall be for two years. The Committee will meet at least four (4) times per year, with additional meetings scheduled with approval by the Superintendent. The Committee shall establish its annual schedule. The meetings shall occur during the school day with release time (half day) provided as needed. The Board of Education shall be responsible for backup plans and documentation generated by both the Committee and Licensee. The Committee shall be responsible for establishing guidelines by which the Committee is to function. These guidelines should include the criteria that will be used to determine whether or not a professional development plan will be approved; procedures for assessing the extent to which a staff member's professional development plan has been accomplished and the procedure the Committee will use to hear appeals of its decision. The appeals procedure is contained in Appendix H of this Master Agreement. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall report periodically to the Board on the operation of this important committee and on the progress staff members are making in fulfilling their professional development plans.
LPDC. 1. The Local Professional Development Committee shall be established under the following guidelines:
a. The LPDC shall consist of seven (7) members, four (4) elected by the BHEA and three (3) appointed by the Superintendent.
b. The term of office of the LPDC members shall be two two-year terms and two three-year terms. Vacancies shall be filled by the appropriate authority.
c. Association LPDC members shall receive a stipend of $500.00 for work for each school year of the contract. A teacher must serve a full year to receive the stipend.
d. Meeting space, file storage facilities and clerical help as needed shall be provided at the Belmont Career Center. 09-25-18 0165-01
e. The LPDC shall establish its bylaws and operating procedures in keepin1g7-MED-04-0559 with the laws of the State of Ohio. K37096
LPDC. The Urbana Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall consist of seven (7) teachers and up to four (4) administrators. When an administrator’s professional development plan is being considered, the committee shall consist of a majority of administrators, unless the administrator requests the full LPDC committee. UACT shall determine the length of term of office and a replacement procedure for teacher LPDC members. The LPDC shall develop a plan of operation, subject to approval of the Board and UACT. The committee will determine the number, time, place and location of meetings. Teachers actively serving on the LPDC shall be paid a stipend of seven hundred dollars ($700) per year for their commitment to improving the education profession. The chairperson shall be paid a stipend of eight hundred forty dollars ($840) per year for his/her commitment to improving the education profession.
LPDC. There will be a Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) which complies with Ohio Revised Code related to LPDC. It will consist of three (3) members who are employees of the Board. A majority of the members shall be members of the bargaining unit and shall be appointed by the President of the Atco-Beacon Education Association. Initial terms of bargaining unit members shall be one (1) member appointed for terms of two (2) years and one (1) member appointed for a term of one (1) year. Non-bargaining unit member will be appointed by the Superintendent. Vacancies shall be filled in the manner of original appointment for two (2) years. The LPDC member shall be appointed no later than May 15.
LPDC. 1. The exclusive bargaining unit of the teachers will appoint three (3) classroom teachers. Teachers will serve a three (3) year term with terms beginning in July of the year they are assigned.
2. All bargaining unit members will be compensated at the Crestview Local School District Board established rate equal to the rate Board members receive per meeting.
LPDC. The Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Local Professional Development Committee has been established as the name of the entity required by State Senate Xxxx 230. The committee is district-wide in scope and is the only committee of its type authorized to operate within the District.
LPDC. An LPDC shall be established to decide equivalent activities toward Continuing Education Units (CEUs); develop a format for Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) Proposals for District-wide use; establish appropriate training in the IPDP process for all members; review breaches of confidentiality and to establish and implement an appeals procedure.
