MANDATORY REEMPLOYMENT RIGHTS. An employee with permanent status who has received an official notice of layoff, and who is about to be laid off under the Reduction in Force Article, shall have the following mandatory reemployment rights: (a) Beginning thirty (30) days immediately prior to the effective date of the layoff and continuing for two (2) years beyond such effective date, such employee will have mandatory reemployment rights to any vacant classified bargaining unit position when management intends to fill it, provided:

  • Reemployment Rights Laid off persons are eligible for reemployment in the class from which laid off for a thirty-nine (39) month period and shall be reemployed in the reverse order of layoff.

  • Mandatory Retirement Retirement shall be mandatory only to the extent required by law.

  • Re-employment Rights (1) Re-employment of Faculty Members on layoff status will be administered by the College in accordance with the then-applicable provisions of the Education Code.

  • Employment Rights Nothing expressed or implied in this Agreement will create any right or duty on the part of the Company or the Executive to have the Executive remain in the employment of the Company or any Subsidiary prior to or following any Change in Control.

  • Additional Termination Rights In addition to any right to terminate this Agreement under the provisions of this Section 16, either party shall have the further right to terminate this Agreement, upon delivery of written notice to the Agent, upon the occurrence of any of the following:

  • Employee Termination A) Regular employees other than those serving a probationary period, shall give twenty-eight (28) calendar days written notice of termination to a representative designated by the Employer with the authority to accept such written notice.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • Employment Conditions Staff employed on the twilight shift shall be subject to the following employment conditions:

  • Cyclic Employment Leave Leave without pay will be granted to cyclic year employees during their off season.

Application Whenever it is necessary because of a lack of work or funds, or whenever it is advisable in the interest of economy to reduce the number of permanent and/or probationary employees (hereinafter known as "employees") in any State agency, the State may lay off employees pursuant to this Section.
