Mentor Compensation. Mentors for new administrators will be compensated at a rate of $1,500 per school year. Request for payment must be submitted to the business office by May 15th. The mentor’s request for payment will be accompanied by a spreadsheet indicating the dates and times that meetings occurred as well as the topic(s) covered at each meeting.
Mentor Compensation a. Extended Support Mentors would be provided $350.00 in compensation per semester and paid as outlined above (a.5.).
b. Basic Support Mentors would be provided $250.00 in compensation per semester and paid as outlined above (b.5.).
c. Minimum Support Mentors would be provided $250.00 in compensation per semester and paid as outlined above (c.5.).
d. Mentors asked to mentor two new staff members would be compensated for one mentee based on the level of support needed (extended, basic or minimum) plus an additional $150.00 per semester for the second mentee.
e. If two mentors share the mentoring responsibilities of a new staff member, the compensation for each mentor would be 50% of the amount compensated for the level of support needed (extended, basic or minimum).
f. If a mentor provides support to a new staff member and shares the mentoring of a second new staff member, with another mentor, the mentor would receive the compensation outlined for the level of support needed (extended, basic or minimum) for mentoring one new staff member as well as an additional $75.00 per semester for sharing the responsibilities of mentoring a second new staff member.
Mentor Compensation. All members of the mentoring committee will be compensated at $64 per observation plus a stipend of $100 per semester for the first five semesters of the tenure process. Any mentoring compensation after the fifth semester will be at the discretion of the VPAA.
Mentor Compensation. Certified staff members who serve as mentor teachers shall receive compensation for each school year that they serve as a mentor. Mentor teachers shall be compensated a stipend of $800 per year. Additional compensation is provided at the stipend rate of $250 per additional protégé. Mentor teachers will be limited to two protégés in any one school year. Duties of the mentor and protégé are outlined in the mentoring handbooks. Adjustments to the mentoring handbooks will be addressed and ratified in Labor Management. This language will be in effect on a year by year basis depending on funding. If funding becomes an issue, decisions about the program would go through the Labor Management Committee for a recommendation to the Board. Final funding decisions are made by the Board.
Mentor Compensation. The mentor teacher shall be compensated at the following rates: Co-curricular Level VI Nationally Board Certified Teachers Co-curricular Level VIII Non-Nationally Board Certified Teachers 12.045 Release time will be granted for Mentors and Resident Educators to meet and/or observe on the following schedules: Year one (1): Both the Mentor and the Resident Educator will be released two (2) days for observations. Year two (2): Two and one-half (2½) days release time (Mentor and Resident Educator) Year three (3): Two (2) days release time (Resident Educator only and only if needed)
Mentor Compensation. There will be three forms of compensation for Mentors. Option 2 and 3 are based on 12-hour blocks of contact time with the New Teacher. There will be a maximum of 36 contact hours per school year per New Teacher. Option 1 will be based on total contact hours, not on 12-hour blocks. All contact time is based on the mentor’s time, not the number of New Teachers serviced.
Mentor Compensation. Mentors shall be paid an annual stipend of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Mentee, which shall be paid in equal installments throughout the course of the year or at the end of the year, at the mentor’s request.

Mentor Compensation. Mentors shall receive a stipend for their work with a new teacher in the Birmingham Public School district. Mentors shall receive a tiered stipend depending on the year/experience of the new hire/teacher.
