Minimum Hours Between Shifts. (a) There shall be a minimum of sixteen (16) hours between regularly scheduled shifts, when the shift consists of seven and one-half (7.5) hours, unless mutually agreed upon otherwise.
(b) There shall be a minimum of twelve (12) hours between regularly scheduled shifts, when the shift consists of eleven and one-quarter (11.25) hours, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
(c) There shall be a minimum of fourteen (14) hours between regularly scheduled shifts, when the shift consists of nine and three eighths (9.375) hours, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

Minimum Hours Between Shifts. A period of at least eleven (11) consecutive hours shall be scheduled between each tour of duty or between changes of shift for part time, except:
(a) Where an employee agrees to a shorter time; or
(b) Where a part time employee works less than a full seven and one half (7 ½) hour tour of duty on one of the two tours of duty, in which case the period between the tours of duty or between the shifts shall be at least ten consecutive hours. Failure to provide at least eleven (11) hours rest between shifts or at least ten (10) hours rest where (b) above applies shall result in payment of overtime at established rates for any hours worked during such normal rest period.
(c) There will be no less than a period of forty-eight (48) consecutive hours between scheduled shifts by a full time employee, who is required to rotate shifts, without the consent of the employee.
Minimum Hours Between Shifts. The Employer will schedule a minimum of eight (8) hours between shifts. If an employee is scheduled on a shift that commences less than eight (8) hours after the end of a shift, applicable overtime rates shall apply for all hours worked. These overtime rates shall not apply when an employee voluntarily agrees to extend their shift or to start early for their next shift in a manner which results in less than eight (8) hours between shifts and in these circumstances, overtime shall only be payable for the hours that are worked which are less than eight (8) hours between shifts.
Minimum Hours Between Shifts. A period of at least sixteen (16) consecutive hours shall be scheduled between tours of duty (exclusive of time worked as the result of call-in while on standby duty). Failure to provide at least sixteen (16) hours rest between shifts shall result in payment of overtime at established rates for any hours worked during such normal rest period.

Minimum Hours Between Shifts. Where unscheduled or emergency work prevents a break of at least eight (8) hours prior to the start of the employee’s next regular shift, the Senior Maintenance and Operations Manager or designee may, in their discretion, direct the employee to begin their shift up to four (4) hours late or skip the shift entirely. The employee will be compensated for the entire shift as if it had been fully worked. Direction to employees to skip part or all of their shift pursuant to this section will be confirmed in writing, including confirmation that the employee will be paid for the regular work hours skipped.
