National Board Certification for Teachers. 1. Any teacher who volunteers to participate in the National Board Certification Program (NBCP) will have the cost of the program paid by the district. Teachers will be reimbursed for the registration fee and initial fees for Components 1-4 upon written request to the Superintendent. 2. Upon obtaining National Board Certification (NBC), the teacher will be paid an annual stipend at the rate supported by state funding in addition to their annual salary. At any time that the State fails to provide funding for NBC, the district is no longer obligated to pay the NBCP stipend.

National Board Certification for Teachers. In order to qualify for such support, the employee must be an NBCPT accepted candidate. The District shall provide up to two (2) days of release time for up to ten (10) participants per year for NBCPT portfolio preparation. Request for release time shall be made after September 1st and by October 31st of each year. Requests should be submitted to the Director of Human Resources. In the event that there are more requests than release days available, NBCT release time will be prioritized in the following manner:
National Board Certification for Teachers. Any instructional staff member who attains National Board Certification for Teachers shall receive a one-time payment of $1,500 upon documentation to the District of successful completion of the certification program. Beginning with the school year following such payment, the member shall receive $500 per year so long as that certificate is maintained.

Any teacher who volunteers to participate in the National Board Certification Program (NBCP) shall have the cost of the program paid by the District in the same manner as is prescribed under Section VII, Paragraph A of this contract except that the reimbursement for coursework will be at the equivalent of six credit hours of graduate level work at the University of Maine. With the advance written approval of the Superintendent, the reimbursement may be made over a multiple-year period. 2. Upon obtaining National Board Certification, the teacher shall be paid an annual stipend at the rate supported by state funding in addition to his/her annual salary. At any time that the State fails to provide funding for NBC, the District is no longer obligated to pay the NBCP stipend.
National Board Certification for Teachers. Teachers who achieve and maintain National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) will receive an additional $500 per year. Part-time NBPTS Teachers will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists Full-time Speech-Language Pathologists who achieve and maintain National Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association will receive an additional $300 per year. Part-time Speech-Language Pathologists with National Certification will receive a pro- rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for School Psychologists Full-time School Psychologists who achieve and maintain National Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists will receive an additional $300 per year. Part- time School Psychologists with National Certification will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for School Counselors Full-time School Counselors who achieve and maintain National Certification from the National Board for Certified Counselors will receive an additional $300 per year. Part-time School Counselors with National Certification will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for Occupational Therapists Full-time Occupational Therapists who achieve and maintain National Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) will receive an additional $300 per year. Part-time Occupational Therapists with National Certification will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for Licensed School Nurses. Full-time School Nurses who achieve and maintain National Certification from the National Board for Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN) will receive an additional $300 per year. Part-time School Nurses with National Certification will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend. National Certification for Licensed Social Workers. Full-time Social Workers who achieve and maintain National Certification from the National Board for Certification of Social Workers (NASW) will receive an additional $300 per year. Part-time Social Workers with National Certification will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend.
National Board Certification for Teachers. Teachers who achieve and maintain National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) will receive an additional $500 per year. Part-time NBPTS Teachers will receive a pro-rata amount of this stipend.
National Board Certification for Teachers. The District will support the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards by providing a total of $7,500 per year toward NBCPT application fees. In order to qualify for such support, the employee must be an NBCPT accepted candidate. Applications for District support shall be accepted on an ongoing basis to establish a priority list by date of request. In addition, the District will provide up to two (2) days of release time for up to six participants per year for NBCPT portfolio preparation. Beginning with the 2011-12 school year, the district will no longer provide the $7,500 per year toward NBCPT application fees. However up to two (2) days of release time for up to six participants per year for NBCPT portfolio preparation will continue.

  • Technical Advisory Committee (TAC The goal of this subtask is to create an advisory committee for this Agreement. The TAC should be composed of diverse professionals. The composition will vary depending on interest, availability, and need. TAC members will serve at the CAM’s discretion. The purpose of the TAC is to: • Provide guidance in project direction. The guidance may include scope and methodologies, timing, and coordination with other projects. The guidance may be based on: o Technical area expertise; o Knowledge of market applications; or o Linkages between the agreement work and other past, present, or future projects (both public and private sectors) that TAC members are aware of in a particular area. • Review products and provide recommendations for needed product adjustments, refinements, or enhancements. • Evaluate the tangible benefits of the project to the state of California, and provide recommendations as needed to enhance the benefits. • Provide recommendations regarding information dissemination, market pathways, or commercialization strategies relevant to the project products. The TAC may be composed of qualified professionals spanning the following types of disciplines: • Researchers knowledgeable about the project subject matter; • Members of trades that will apply the results of the project (e.g., designers, engineers, architects, contractors, and trade representatives); • Public interest market transformation implementers; • Product developers relevant to the project; • U.S. Department of Energy research managers, or experts from other federal or state agencies relevant to the project; • Public interest environmental groups; • Utility representatives; • Air district staff; and • Members of relevant technical society committees. • Prepare a List of Potential TAC Members that includes the names, companies, physical and electronic addresses, and phone numbers of potential members. The list will be discussed at the Kick-off meeting, and a schedule for recruiting members and holding the first TAC meeting will be developed. • Recruit TAC members.   • Function of Committee The Committee shall concern itself with the following general matters: a) Considering constructive criticisms of all activities so that better relations shall exist between the Employer and the employees. b) Improving and extending services to the public. c) Promoting safety and sanitary practices. d) Reviewing suggestions from employees, questions of working conditions and service (but not grievances). e) Correcting conditions which might cause grievances and misunderstandings.

  • Technical Committee 1. The Technical Committee shall comprise: (a) nine experts representing different regions of the Agreement Area, in accordance with a balanced geographical distribution; (b) one representative from the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), one from the International Waterfowl and Wetlands Research Bureau (IWRB) and one from the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC); and (c) one expert from each of the following fields: rural economics, game management, and environmental law. The procedure for the appointment of the experts, the term of their appointment and the procedure for designation of the Chairman of the Technical Committee shall be determined by the Meeting of the Parties. The Chairman may admit a maximum of four observers from specialized international inter- governmental and non-governmental organizations. 2. Unless the Meeting of the Parties decides otherwise, meetings of the Technical Committee shall be convened by the Agreement secretariat in conjunction with each ordinary session of the Meeting of the Parties and at least once between ordinary sessions of the Meeting of the Parties. 3. The Technical Committee shall: (a) provide scientific and technical advice and information to the Meeting of the Parties and, through the Agreement secretariat, to Parties; (b) make recommendations to the Meeting of the Parties concerning the Action Plan, implementation of the Agreement and further research to be carried out; (c) prepare for each ordinary session of the Meeting of the Parties a report on its activities, which shall be submitted to the Agreement secretariat not less than one hundred and twenty days before the session of the Meeting of the Parties, and copies shall be circulated forthwith by the Agreement secretariat to the Parties; and (d) carry out any other tasks referred to it by the Meeting of the Parties. 4. Where in the opinion of the Technical Committee there has arisen an emergency which requires the adoption of immediate measures to avoid deterioration of the conservation status of one or more migratory waterbird species, the Technical Committee may request the Agreement secretariat to convene urgently a meeting of the Parties concerned. These Parties shall meet as soon as possible thereafter to establish rapidly a mechanism to give protection to the species identified as being subject to particularly adverse threat. Where a recommendation has been adopted at such a meeting, the Parties concerned shall inform each other and the Agreement secretariat of measures they have taken to implement it, or of the reasons why the recommendation could not be implemented. 5. The Technical Committee may establish such working groups as may be necessary to deal with specific tasks.

  • National Labor Relations Board Orders No more than one, final unappealable finding of contempt of court by a federal court has been issued against Contractor within the immediately preceding two-year period because of Contractor's failure to comply with an order of a federal court requiring Contractor to comply with an order of the National Labor Relations Board. Contractor swears under penalty of perjury that this representation is true.

  • Certification of Non-Foreign Status Each Limited Partner or transferee of an Interest or a portion of an Interest from a Limited Partner who or that is admitted to the Partnership in accordance with this Agreement will certify, upon admission to the Partnership and at any other time as the General Partner may request, whether the Limited Partner or transferee is a “United States Person” within the meaning of the Code on forms to be provided by the Partnership, and will notify the Partnership within 30 days of any change in the status of the Limited Partner or transferee. Any Limited Partner or transferee who or that fails to provide certification when requested to do so by the General Partner may be treated as a non-United States Person for purposes of U.S. Federal tax withholding.
