New Employee Placement. A new employee shall be placed on the beginning step of the salary schedule and shall be eligible for step advancement upon completion of the probationary period. Beginning July 1, 2019, a new employee shall be placed on the salary schedule based on classification.
New Employee Placement. The Chief Human Resources Officer shall be the decision-making authority when placing new employees on a step within a salary grade. The following considerations will be made regarding the placement decision: Appropriateness of prior experience. Ability to assume full job responsibilities immediately. The competitive hiring for similar positions. An offer may not be extended to a candidate beyond Step 4. The above three criteria shall be used to place a new hire appropriately in relation to incumbents doing the same job in the same department. If a new hire is placed at a higher step than current staff doing the same job in the same department, the Association will be notified and the Chief Human Resources Officer will provide the information (relating to the 3 criteria above) upon which the decision was based. Current staff doing the same job will be given the opportunity to upgrade skills and increase knowledge and/or experience in order to be placed at the same step as the new hire. The criteria and plan for this will be mutually agreed to by the immediate supervisor and employee.
New Employee Placement. For each new employee, placement in the appropriate 39 column for educational attainment shall be determined by the current WAC codes as 40 applicable to State Allocation Model (XXX) placement. 41
New Employee Placement. Initial placement on the salary schedule as recommended by the administration shall be disclosed in writing to the employee at the time of initial employment, along with a copy of the current master agreement.
New Employee Placement. New employees shall be placed on the Salary Schedule based on consideration of the following factors: association staff and leader experience, work-related experience, placement of current employees, expertise and skills, market value, and salary interest of prospective employee. A new employee may be placed between two steps on the Salary Schedule, provided that such employee shall be placed at the next highest salary step as of the date for implementation of a successor Salary Schedule. Upon offering employment and salary placement, AEA will advise the applicant to contact AEASO for further information about individual responsibility for acceptance of salary placement offers. XXXXX will not represent nor negotiate on behalf of the applicant.
New Employee Placement. The Superintendent has the right to place new employees at any step on the sala1y schedule other than the seven (7) years of continuous service step.
New Employee Placement. Under no circumstances shall any teacher transferring into District No. 111 be placed higher on the seniority lists than teachers already in Xxxxxxxx Xx. 000.
