Notice of Retrenchment. Before any layoff, reduction, or reassignment is initiated under this policy, the Association will be given a 60 calendar-day notice of such anticipated action. If it is necessary to undertake retrenchment at Northwestern Michigan College, the Associate Vice President ofHuman Resources will provide notice of retrenchment to those faculty members who are in positions being considered for retrenchment. Retrenchment can result in one ofthree actions. The faculty member may be reassigned, laid off, or receive a reduction ofCollege assignments. The President must approve any retrenchment actions.
a. Retrenchment Within an Instructional Area Reasonable effort will be made to give notice ofretrenchment to faculty members no less than 120 calendar days prior to retrenchment action is to be implemented, but under no circumstances will less than 60 calendar days' notice be given.
b. College-wide Retrenchment • Notice ofretrenchment will be given as soon as is practicable.
Notice of Retrenchment. All such employees will receive a minimum of four (4) weeks notice of termination of employment or payment in lieu thereof.
Notice of Retrenchment. (a) All employees in a redundant role will be given the maximum possible advice of likely retrenchment.
(b) Xx.Xxxxxx will at the same time put into place appropriate counseling and information procedures.
Notice of Retrenchment. Retrenched employees will be given the following notice of termination or payment in lieu thereof Continuous Service Notice 1 year or less 1 week 1 to 3 years 2 weeks 3 to 5 years 3 weeks More than 5 years 4 weeks An additional week is payable if a driver is over 45 years old and has completed at least 2 years continuous service.
Notice of Retrenchment. 23.7.1 Once the consultation process is completed, if retrenchment becomes inevitable, notice of retrenchment by the College may be given to the employee/s affected. The College will formally give 4 weeks’ notice as per ordinary termination described in sub clause 23.2.1, or 5 weeks’ notice if the employee is 45 years old and over and has 2 years service or more. This notice may be given within, and run concurrent with, the notice period in 23.3.2.
23.7.2 During the period of notice given under 23.7.1, the College will allow an employee one day off per week during the notice period without loss of pay to look for alternative employment.
Notice of Retrenchment. The company shall provide four (4) weeks notice to employees who are to be retrenched. In lieu of working the notice period, the company can provide payment in lieu of notice, at the company’s discretion. The notice period is five (5) weeks for employees over the age of 40. During the notice period, the company will grant an employee a reasonable amount of paid time off to attend legitimate employment interviews. Reasonable is defined as not more than 20% of the working hours during this period. The company may require reasonable proof of attendance at interviews. Notice shall be extended by up to two weeks for the amount of any certified sick leave taken during the notice period. Employees leaving before completion of the notice period shall be entitled to all retrenchment monies, but not the balance of the non-worked notice period. Should the employee die during the notice period all retrenchment pay amounts shall be paid to their estate or to the designated beneficiary as advised in writing by the employee before their death.
Notice of Retrenchment a) Where an employee is to be Retrenched, Unity Bank will provide written notice of termination (or payment in lieu of notice) in accordance with clause 9.2.
b) An employee who has received notice of Retrenchment and finds alternate employment during the notice period may, with the consent of Unity Bank which will not be unreasonably withheld, terminate the employee’s employment prior to the expiry of the notice period. The employee may still be entitled to the severance payments in this Agreement but not for the unworked notice period.
Notice of Retrenchment. At the conclusion of the redeployment period, ANZ will give you as much notice of retrenchment as possible. At a minimum, you will be provided with 6 weeks' notice. If, in certain circumstances, ANZ is not able to provide you with 6 weeks of actual notice, you will be provided with pay in lieu of the unworked notice period when your employment ends. Subject to the NES, any payment made to you in lieu of notice will be calculated on the basis of your Salary or TEC Salary as applicable. You are entitled to up to 1 paid day off each week during the notice period if you request it for the purpose of looking for a new job outside of ANZ. Payment for these days will be based on your Hourly Rate. Payment of any redundancy benefits is conditional on you continuing to perform your duties as required until the end of the notice period. However, if you secure a new job outside ANZ during the notice period, you can request to leave prior to the expiry of the notice period and ANZ will not unreasonably withhold its consent. If ANZ consents to your early release, you will be entitled to the redundancy benefits set out in clauses 5.10(a) and 5.10(b) calculated to the date your employment with ANZ ends but you will not receive any payment in lieu of the unworked period of notice.
Notice of Retrenchment. Four (4) weeks notice of retrenchment shall be given with an additional one (1) weeks notice to any employee over the age of 45 years and with not less than two (2) years continuous service at the time of notice.
Notice of Retrenchment. Faculty on term or continuing appointment shall be notified on or before March 1 for a fall semester retrenchment and on or before July 1 for a spring semester retrenchment, and for NTP staff on term or continuing appointment not less than six (6) months prior to the effective date of retrenchment.
