Accordingly, it is understood and agreed that a member of any such Committee shall not absent themselves from their work without first obtaining permission from his/her Immediate Non-Union Supervisor. In accordance with this understanding, the Employer agrees not to make any deductions from the pay of a member of the above-noted Committees for time spent in; attending Meetings which have been scheduled by the Employer, negotiating a renewal of this Collective Agreement, processing Grievances up to but not including Arbitration, or, in dealing with Health and Safety matters.
