Increasing worker awareness, safety, and health protection on MAHB member worksites is of primary importance both to MAHB and to MIOSHA. The intention is to solicit MAHB membership to voluntarily participate in the alliance at some level. Participation can include simply taking classes, requesting site surveys, utilizing the MIOSHA website proficiently to stay current on safety issues, or a combination of activities which will result in the increased safety of MAHB members, their employees, co-workers, and families. MAHB will co-sponsor Fall Protection, Excavation, Worksite Maintenance, and other seminars with MIOSHA. Encourage participating contractors to include an announcement of the alliance on their job sites and web sites if applicable, as well as through internal communication. A minimum of 10 CET safety and health hazard surveys will be conducted over the 3-year term of the Alliance. These surveys are strictly voluntary and must be requested by the MAHB member. As a part of the surveys, training and information will be provided on workplace accident prevention. MAHB will utilize its many communication mediums (Web Site, newsletters, conferences, etc.) to share vital safety and health information with contractors. Work together with the local home builders associations throughout Michigan to promote MIOSHA educational programs through the MIOSHA CET Division. Training and Education: Include a description of training and education activities, when applicable. Do not respond if training and education is not part of the alliance. For those members who elect to participate in the CET Division safety and health hazard site survey, upon completion of the survey: Members will be provided with instruction and material on how to develop and implement an accident prevention program. Voluntary participation in the CET Division safety and health hazard site survey will not trigger an inspection by the MIOSHA Enforcement Division upon completion of the survey process, when all serious issues have been abated. To speak, exhibit, or appear at MIOSHA’s or ASSE – Greater Detroit Chapter, West Michigan Chapter, and Lansing Chapter conferences, local meetings, or other ASSE events. To share information among MIOSHA personnel and industry safety and health professionals regarding ASSE – Greater Detroit Chapter, West Michigan Chapter, and Lansing Chapter good practices or effective approaches through training programs, workshops, seminars, and lectures (or any other applicable forum) developed by the participants. To work with other alliance participants on specific issues and projects related to occupational safety and health issues that are addressed and developed through the alliance program. MLTAI's minimum goal is to train five thousand participants each year. Many of those participants come as a result of contractor orientations, return-to-work spring kick-offs, and safety meetings. MLTAI plans to work with MIOSHA to guarantee that the MIOSHA regulations are implemented with a focus on Work Zone and Fall Protection training. MLTAI will share all methods of communication, including our quarterly newsletter (with a mailing to over ten thousand participants) and our website which receives over ten thousand hits each year. XXXXXX will provide MLTAI with at least one article a year to be posted in the MLTAI newsletter. MLTAI will also advertise the Alliance and the MIOSHA Training Institute during contractor orientations, health fairs, and safety events.

Outreach and Communication. XXXXXX will speak, exhibit, and participate at PMA East and West Michigan District events as requested and when possible. Distribute safety and health resources for metalforming industry companies in Michigan, such as safety posters, checklists, and training programs. Promote the goals and objectives of this alliance through newsletters, websites, and other means of communication, including reciprocal website links. Promote and encourage members of the PMA East and West Michigan Districts to participate in MIOSHA’s free onsite consultation to assist employers with compliance and the development of a safety and health system. • Training and Education: When requested, XXXXXX will conduct metalforming related safety and health programs for the PMA East and West Michigan Districts. Coordinate training for MIOSHA staff to increase their understanding of the hazards in the metalforming industry created by new emerging technology. • Promoting Dialogue: Coordinate efforts for the PMA East and West Michigan Districts to dialogue with MIOSHA through forums or roundtable discussions to forge innovative solutions in the workplace or to provide input on safety and health issues. Provide opportunities for discussion and input on MIOSHA standards and interpretations that affect the metalforming industry.
Outreach and Communication. ADB and the Government of the Netherlands have agreed to enhance outreach and communication on the NPRS projects, the strategic trust fund cooperation, and their impact on poverty reduction in the DMCs, and supporting ADB’s changing emphasis on poverty reduction. A NPRS website has been prepared for uploading in October 2002, and all three poverty reduction funds are now featured in the quarterly newsletter Poverty Reduction Funds at Work. Furthermore, powerpoint and other presentation material has been prepared and various staff briefing on the NPRS (and other poverty reduction funds) have been held. The NPRS has also been explained to various governments and NGO stakeholders in Asia and the Pacific.
Outreach and Communication. Both the CBSD and Bucks agree to provide a mechanism for outreach and communication to the Central Bucks East, West, and South High School community about the educational and economic benefits of higher education, as well as the requirements for participation and enrollment procedures to staff, parents, and students. This outreach and communication will consist of a student orientation, student and parent/guardian information session and promotional materials (including a letter of invitation), and a student agreement.
