Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee temporarily substitutes, or performs the principal duties of, a higher paying position at a flat rate of pay, the employee shall receive a ten percent (10%) adjustment added to the employee’s salary or the rate of pay of the position in which the employee is replacing (with the start rate of the higher paying position as a minimum), whichever is lesser.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is assigned to temporarily perform the principal duties of a higher paying position for a period of one (1) working day or more for which a salary scale has been established, he/she shall receive the rate in the salary range, which is higher than his/her previous rate by a minimum of five (5) percent. The five (5) percent minimum higher rate of pay shall not exceed the salary of the position being replaced.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is assigned to perform the principal duties of a higher rated position within the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive the starting rate for the position, but in no instance will the employee receive less than the employee’s current rate. When an employee is assigned to perform the principal duties of a higher paying position outside the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive a temporary increase in rate of pay equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the employee’s current rate of pay. In no instance shall the temporary rate of pay exceed the maximum of pay of the higher paying position.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is required in advance by the Employer to perform the principal duties of a higher paying position, he/she shall receive the rate for the job, except when such employee is in training.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When a regular employee temporarily relieves in, or performs the principal established, or is appointed to a temporary position, they shall receive the rate of pay of the higher rated position. Regular employees who are appointed to higher rated temporary positions will retain and accrue their seniority and benefits, will be subject to the trial period outlined in Article 16.04, and will return to their previous position upon completion of the temporary positions. The Regular employee shall be deemed to be covered by this collective agreement during the period of temporary transfer outside the bargaining unit.

When an employee temporarily relieves in, or performs the principal duties of a higher paying position for one full working day or more for which a salary scale has been established, he/she shall receive the rate in the salary range which is higher than his/her previous rate by a minimum of five (5%) percent. The five (5%) percent minimum higher rate of pay shall not exceed the salary of the position being replaced. Where a statutory holiday falls on the day before or the day after the day(s) where an employee is replacing a higher paying position, the employee would receive the higher rate of pay for the statutory day.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is assigned by the Employer to temporarily perform the full duties of a higher paying position for three (3) or more consecutive normal shifts, the employee shall receive the rate in the salary range which is higher than the previous rate.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. Any Employee required to assume the duties of a higher classification shall be paid for the higher classification for actual hours worked except for a training period for unqualified Employees.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is required, during any one year, to temporarily substitute or perform the principal duties of another employee for more than three (3) consecutive working days, such employee shall thereafter, during the temporary transfer, be entitled to the rate of pay established for the substitute position subject to a maximum of ten percent (10%) when relieving outside of the bargaining unit.
Pay on Temporary Transfers, Higher Rated Job. When an employee is temporarily transferred to a position in a higher pay grade for a period of fifteen consecutive working days or more, they shall be placed on the step in the higher pay grade so that they shall receive no less an increase in wage rate than the equivalent of one step in their normal pay grade (provided that they do not exceed the maximum of the higher pay grade).
