Temporary Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee transferred to a position outside of the bargaining unit shall receive a six percent (6%) increase for the time worked in the position.

Supervisor by the senior qualified employee in the section relative to the position. A six percent (6%) increase is paid for time worked. Human Resources will notify the Union, in writing of all Work Assignments prior to commencement. Where an extension of the Work Assignment is required, Human Resources will provide advance notice of the extension to the Union. Human Resources will provide communication on the application of the Work Assignment process to management staff. First consideration will be given to the senior qualified The Employer agrees to consult with Union at the Committee prior to assigning an employee, with the employee’s consent, to work on a special assignment as directed by the Employer for periods not to exceed three (3) months each period. Such employees shall continue to receive their present rate of pay or the minimum of the new classification, whichever is greater, plus any additional or general increase, retention of their seniority and accumulation of seniority. The Employer agrees to consult with the Union at the Committee prior to transferring an employee, with the employee’s consent, to another classification for periods not to exceed three (3) months each period, for the purpose of utilizing applicable abilities. The transferred employee will continue to receive present rate of pay or the minimum of the new classification, whichever is greater, plus any additional or general increase, and retention of their seniority rights and accumulation of seniority.
Temporary Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit. (a) When the Employer wishes to select an employee to fill a temporary management/non-union position, a meeting will be held between the parties to outline the circumstances giving rise to the vacancy, the conditions and duration of such vacancy. It is understood that the arrangement will be in writing. An employee so selected may decline such offer to transfer. The period of time referred to in (b) below may be extended by agreement of the parties.
(b) An employee who is selected and agrees to a transfer to a temporary position outside the bargaining unit for a period of more than three (3) months, but not more than one (1) year shall retain, but not accumulate, her or his seniority held at the time of the transfer. The employer will fill the employee’s bargaining unit position held at time of transfer on a temporary basis and will post the position so that bargaining unit members may apply. Should the employee return to her/his bargaining unit position within one
(1) year of the transfer, the employee’s seniority will accrue from the date of return to the bargaining unit.
(c) An employee must remain in the bargaining unit for a period of at least three (3) months before transferring out of the bargaining unit again or she or he will lose all seniority held at the time of the subsequent transfer.
(d) If the employee has not returned to the bargaining unit within one (1) year of such transfer under (b) above, all seniority will be lost and the employee waives all rights to return to the position held at the time of transfer.
Temporary Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee who is transferred to a position outside of the SEIU bargaining unit for a period of up to twelve (12) months shall maintain and accumulate seniority during such transfer.
Temporary Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit. The Corporation may temporarily transfer an employee to a position outside of the bargaining unit, or an employee may apply for and accept a temporary transfer to a position outside the bargaining unit, for a period of up to six (6) months. At the end of the temporary transfer/assignment the employee will be returned to his/her former position in the bargaining unit. An employee who temporarily transfers out of the bargaining unit shall retain but not accumulate seniority held at the time of the transfer. Accumulation of seniority will resume upon return to the bargaining unit.

The Corporation may temporarily transfer an employee, with the employee’s consent, to a position outside of the bargaining unit, or an employee may apply for and accept a temporary transfer to a position outside the bargaining unit, for a period of up to six (6)
Temporary Transfer Outside the Bargaining Unit. Where an employee is offered a permanent supervisory position outside the bargaining unit and less than three (3) months time has expired, the employee can choose to return, or the Employer can require the employee to return, to the bargaining unit with no loss of seniority. This provision is restricted to be used only once by an employee during their employment with the employer.

(a) The Employer will outline to the employee selected to fill a temporary vacancy, the circumstances giving rise to the vacancy, the conditions and duration of such vacancy. In any event, such temporary vacancy shall not exceed the time required to complete the specific circumstances which gave rise to the temporary vacancy. Any vacancy which is not created through an illness or leave of absence shall be deemed to be a permanent vacancy. If the temporary vacancy is extended for three (3) months or more, the extension shall be posted in accordance with Article 9.04.
