Personal and Carer’s Leave. (1) Personal and xxxxx’s leave is underpinned by the NES and the following clauses.
Personal and Carer’s Leave. You will be entitled to 10 days of paid personal and xxxxx’s leave per year (pro rata for part-time employees), which includes paid sick leave, and carer’s leave for the care of a member of your immediate family or household, in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). Such leave is accumulated progressively and will be cumulative from year to year. For any absence on paid sick leave, the Employer can request that you provide a medical certificate or other satisfactory evidence. For any paid carer’s leave, you must provide suitable notice and documentary evidence to the Employer for the reason for the absence and the relationship between yourself and the person being carer for. In addition, you will be entitled to a further two (2) days’ unpaid carer’s leave for each occasion when a member of your immediate family or household requires care or support because of a personal illness, or personal injury affecting the member or an unexpected emergency affecting the member provided you provide suitable notice and documentary evidence. You will also be entitled to two (2) days paid compassionate leave for each occasion when a member of your immediate family or household suffers a life-threatening illness, injury or death and documentary evidence is provided to the Employer of the condition and the relationship between you and the person. You acknowledge that if sufficient evidence to support leave under this clause is not provided when requested by the Employer, that leave may not be paid and/or granted by the Employer. When absent through illness or injury, you must notify your Supervisor/Manager as soon as practicable and prior to the commencement of your shift. Any accrued, but untaken personal leave, will not be payable on the termination of employment.
Personal and Carer’s Leave. 31.1 In any twelve month period a full-time staff member will accumulate ten (10) days of personal / carer’s leave. Part-time staff members’ personal leave entitlements will be calculated on a pro- rata basis.
Personal and Carer’s Leave. Full-time Employees shall be entitled to 10 days paid personal/ carer's leave each year, which may be taken as sick leave or carer's leave in accordance with the National Employment Standards. Personal/xxxxx's leave accrues progressively during a year of service. The Employee is entitled to up to 2 days of unpaid carer's leave when he or she has exhausted paid leave entitlements in accordance with the National Employment Standards. Any personal/carer's leave entitlement not taken in any year may be taken in another year. Any accumulated and untaken personal/carer's leave is forfeited on termination of employment. If an Employee will be absent from work due to illness or injury or in order to care for a member of the Employee's Immediate Family or household, the Employee must advise their Manager prior to the Employee's regular starting time, or as soon as reasonably practicable. As far as is practical, an Employee will notify Broadcast Australia of his/her inability to attend work because of illness or injury at least one hour before the commencement of his/her next scheduled starting time. This notice must include the nature of the illness, or injury, (if known) and the estimated duration of absence.
Personal and Carer’s Leave. Personal/carer’s leave shall be in accordance with the NES. Paid personal/carer’s leave will accrue on a pro rata basis after each four week period of continuous employment. Unused paid personal/carer’s leave accumulates from year to year but will not be paid out on the termination of an employee’s employment. Paid personal/carer’s leave counts as service for all purposes.
