Personal Assault. In the event an employee, while acting within the scope of his/her employment, has his/her personal effects such as clothing, glasses or jewelry damaged or destroyed as a result of an attack, assault, or pupil supervision problem, the District, will under District procedures, reimburse the teacher the allowed amount to repair or replace the item(s), provided such damage or destruction is not the result of the employee’s negligence.
Personal Assault. Employees suffering injury arising from assault on their person while on a school assignment shall sustain no loss in salary by reason of their absence from work resulting from such injury, nor shall such absence from work be counted against their annual and/or accumulated sick leave. The Board’s payment under this section shall be made until the employee returns to work or for a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) work days, whichever is less.
Personal Assault. 1. All cases of assault suffered by bargaining unit members in connection with their employment must be reported to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. 2. Whenever it is alleged that a bargaining unit member has either assaulted or been assaulted, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall see that an investigation is conducted and will furnish the bargaining unit member with appropriate facts of any such investigation upon written request.
Personal Assault. Any case of assault upon an employee or by an employee shall be promptly reported to the building administrator. The administrator shall promptly render assistance to the employee in connection with the handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities.
Personal Assault a. Whenever a teacher is absent from work because of a temporary personal injury caused by an assault within the school district occurring in the course of the teacher's employment, or as a result of performing his/her professional duties for the district where the teacher did not unjustifiably cause the confrontation and did exercise good and prudent judgment, the teacher will be paid his/her full salary for the period of such absence, and no part of the absence will be charged to the annual sick leave of the teacher. b. In instances of said personal assault, where there has been no reimbursement by insurance, the Board will also reimburse the teacher for: (1) Any clothing or personal property worn by the employee, damaged or destroyed as a result of personal assault in the course of employment within the district. (2) The cost of medical, surgical, or hospital services (including dental) incurred as the result of any injury sustained in the course of employment within the district.

It is any behaviour, whether deliberate or negligent, which denies individuals their dignity and respect, is offensive, embarrassing or humiliating to the individual and adversely affects the working environment.

  • PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC FREEDOM A. The personal life of a teacher shall be the concern of and warrant the review and appropriate action of the Board only: 1. As it may prevent the teacher from performing his/her assigned functions during school duty hours; 2. As it may be in violation of local, state, national, or common law. B. Each teacher will be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or political activities of any such teacher or the lack thereof will be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the professional employment of such person provided they do not affect his/her classroom performance. C. The Board and the Association agree that academic freedom is essential to the fulfillment of the purposes of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ County School System, and they acknowledge the fundamental need to protect teachers from any censorship or restraint which might interfere with their obligation to pursue the truth in the performance of their teaching functions. They agree that subject to curriculum guidelines and appropriate supervision by the teacher’s evaluator, the responsibility for teaching all appropriate material rests with the teacher. D. No student’s grade shall be changed without a conference between the student’s teacher and the administrator. After the conference, the teacher will be notified, in writing, of the administrator’s decision. In the event the student’s teacher is not available for a conference, the administrator will notify the teacher in writing of any changes in a grade.
