Personal Leave and Emergency Leave. 8.0201 Each member shall be entitled to two (2) days of personal leave each work year without loss of pay and fringe benefits.

Personal Leave and Emergency Leave. (a) The District Superintendent shall receive three (3) days of personal leave with full pay each year of this Contract, which shall be credited in full on the first day of the Term of this Contract and on July 1, 2022 and on July 1st of each subsequent year of this Contract. Unused personal leave shall accrue from year to year provided that the total number of personal days that may carry over into a subsequent fiscal year shall not exceed four (4) days. Any personal leave accumulated on June 30th of each year of this Contract in excess of four (4) days shall be converted to days of sick leave. In addition, when this Contract is terminated for any reason, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, all unused days of personal leave shall be converted to days of sick leave.
Personal Leave and Emergency Leave. An employee planning to use a personal leave day or days shall notify the employee's principal at least one (1) day in advance, except in cases of emergency. In an emergency situation, the employee shall notify the principal as early as possible. The number of personal leave days per building per one day will be determined upon the buildings student enrollment: ● Up to 700 students = 3 personal days per day per building ● 700 - 1,000 students = 4 personal days per day per building ● 1,000 + students = 5 personal days per day per building During the months of May and June, except emergency cases, no more than two (2) personal days of leave shall be granted in advance for one given day. More than three personal leave days per building may be granted, in the order of request, at the discretion of the Director of Human Resources. Employees shall not use personal leave during the first five student days or the last five student days of the school year or to extend holidays or vacations. Exceptions will be made if the district's original calendar has been changed and the change in the calendar caused the conflict with this provision and exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of the Superintendent. Personal days shall be granted in not less than one-half (1/2) day. Employees not using any personal leave during the contract year may request the amount of $150.00 (prorated for part-time) per day claimed to be paid no later than their August paycheck of the contract year. Xxx(s) claimed will be subtracted from the personal leave accumulation if this option is taken.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.
