Approval will be given pursuant to the following conditions: 8.7.2.1.1 Personal Leave must be used in one half (½) or full day increments, except Early Childhood Family Education Teachers may use Personal Leave in one-half hour (1/2) increments. 8.7.2.1.2 Personal Leave days can be used immediately prior to or after a holiday or break in the school year. Personal Leave days may be granted in conjunction with workshop and in-service days with the approval of the School District’s Executive Director of Labor Relations and Personnel Services. 8.7.2.1.3 No more than five percent (5%) of a building staff may be on a personal leave on any one (1) day. Any building, regardless of size, may have at least three (3) teachers on personal leave. The combination of Personal Leave, Emergency Leave, and Compensation Leave shall not exceed twenty percent (20%) of teachers from a building. 8.7.2.1.4 If more than the allocated numbers of teachers apply for any given day, the leave shall be granted in the order that the requests are received. 8.7.2.1.5 Up to ten (10) Personal Leave days may be used on consecutive days.

An employee desiring leave of absence shall make application in writing on a form approved by the Employer to the immediate Supervisor, and the request shall be dealt with by the Administrator, Norview Lodge or designate. Provided such leave will not unduly interfere with the operations of Norview Lodge, such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. The applicant for leave of absence shall be notified in writing of the decision to grant or not to grant the request within one (1) week of the application. Applications must be received a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the day of request. The foregoing procedure for requesting leave in advance shall not apply to legitimate personal emergencies which could not be arranged in advance, provided the Supervisor is notified prior to leaving. Personal leave should not be used to extend vacations. Except in cases of emergency, vacation time requests will take priority over requests of leaves of absences which extend vacation.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner: (A) All full time employees shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours of personal leave with pay each fiscal year; (B) Part-time, seasonal, and job share employees shall be granted such leave in a prorated amount of twenty-four (24) hours based on the same percentage or fraction of month they are hired to work, or as subsequently formally modified, provided it is anticipated that they will work 1,040 hours during the fiscal year; Section 2.   • Extended Personal Leave Leave without pay for up to one (1) year may be granted to a teacher provided said teacher has been actively employed for five (5) continuous contract years preceding the granting of this leave and has not been granted an extended part-time leave within that period. Application for said leave shall include a statement indicating the purpose of the leave and shall be submitted, except in unusual circumstances, as determined by the District, thirty (30) days prior to the date the leave is to commence.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
