Personal Time Off Days (PTO). Effective 1/1/2019, sick days will be eliminated for Crossing Guards and they instead will be given 4 Personal Time Off (PTO) days per year. These days must be used in accordance with the call-off provisions in the contract. PTO days give the Crossing Guards more flexibility for taking time off. If any PTO days are not used, they will carry over to the following year. Upon retirement, Crossing Guards will be entitled to pay for unused PTO days up to the maximum amount allowed by contract which is $15,000.

Personal Time Off Days (PTO). 1. All employees who have completed twelve months of continuous and uninterrupted service as of the execution of this Agreement are entitled to thirteen-(13) PTO days every year of this Agreement. 2. Employees in their first year of employment shall acquire one PTO day per month to a maximum of twelve per year. In the contract year following the first anniversary of hiring, each employee shall have thirteen (13) days per year effective at the beginning of the contract year. 3. Unused PTO leave shall be reimbursed at the rate of one hundred per cent pay at the end of the contract year. Effective February 1,1993 PTO days may be accumulated from one year to the next for a total of one hundred (100) days. The option of being reimbursed or allowing PTO days to accumulate shall be that of the employee. The rate of reimbursement shall be at the salary level earned by the respective employee at the end of the contract year. 4. An employee will be entitled to leave under the Family & Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and the New Jersey Family Leave Act in accordance with the provisions of such statutes. Employees who request absences from work for family leave will be required to provide written certification that their absence qualifies under the applicable family leave statutes. The Authority's policy with respect to such leave shall be applicable to all employees covered by this collective bargaining agreement. Wherever provisions of this collective bargaining agreement conflict with such policy, such policy shall control. A copy of the Authority's Family and Medical Leave policy is available for inspection by the Union and members of the unit. Approved family leave absences will not be chargeable absences. 5. When an employee is out of work because of illness for three (3) consecutive days, he may be required to see a physician at the expense of the Authority. 6. An employee that becomes ill after reporting to work and needs to leave he/she must notify management prior to leaving. 7. If an employee desires PTO leave in excess of what is provided, he may not return to work without a doctor's report for each instance. 8. When employees exhaust their PTO days and require additional time off due to medical reasons, they may request, in advance, to utilize vacation benefits. 9. At the time of severance, earned but unused PTO days shall be compensated at full pay; in case of death of an employee who is eligible for PTO pay, the employee’s estate shall be paid.

  • Personal Time Off Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to executives.

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one hour increments.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with Company’s policy in place from time to time; provided, however, that Executive shall be eligible to accrue no less than twenty (20) days per calendar year (with such amount prorated for the balance of 2017).

  • Personal Days Employee shall be entitled to three (3) personal days annually, pro-rated for any partial year of employment, the unused portion of which shall accumulate as sick days.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner: (A) All full time employees shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours of personal leave with pay each fiscal year; (B) Part-time, seasonal, and job share employees shall be granted such leave in a prorated amount of twenty-four (24) hours based on the same percentage or fraction of month they are hired to work, or as subsequently formally modified, provided it is anticipated that they will work 1,040 hours during the fiscal year; Section 2. Should any employee fail to work 1,040 hours for the fiscal year, the value of personal leave time used may be recovered from the employee. Section 3. Personal leave shall not be cumulative from year to year nor is any unused leave compensable in any other manner. Section 4. Such leave may be used by an employee for any purpose he/she desires and may be taken at times mutually agreeable to the university and the employee.

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with applicable law and the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / xxxxx's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative. 7.3.2 All accrued personal leave shall be available for use as carer's leave in accordance with the provisions outlined below. 7.3.3 As part of its commitment to provide a family-friendly workplace, the employer will allow employees to use any amount of accrued personal /xxxxx's leave to enable employees to: (a) provide primary care to partners, children and/or other household or family members. (b) attend the funerals of family or household members or close family relatives (if compassionate leave is not available in the circumstances). 7.3.4 The leave provided for in this clause will be granted subject to the following: (a) The employee must notify the employer of the reason and likely duration of the absence before 7.00 am on the first day of the absence, unless this is not possible due to an unexpected emergency in which case the employee must notify the employer as soon as practicable. (b) Where circumstances permit, an employee must endeavour to arrange leave to minimise the impact on operational needs. (c) The provision of appropriate documentary evidence. 1. For sick leave, a medical certificate or if not reasonably practicable to provide a medical certificate- a statutory declaration made by the employee. 2. For xxxxx's leave, a medical certificate in respect to the family or household member, or a statutory declaration by the employee. 3. For compassionate leave, any evidence that the employer reasonably requires. 7.3.5 The employee is not entitled to take more than 10 days of paid xxxxx’s leave (1/26th of the nominal hours worked by the employee) per year, regardless of the amount of personal leave the employee has accumulated over time. 7.3.6 An employee may request to cash out any amount of paid personal/xxxxx’s leave that they have accrued that is excess of 3/52 of the number of nominal hours worked over the past 12 months. For example, an employee working 38 hours per week over 12 months must retain 15 days of paid personal/carer’s leave and may cash out any further personal/carer’s leave that has been accumulated. 7.3.7 In addition to the above, a request to cash out personal/xxxxx’s leave will only be granted where: (a) the employee elects to cash out their leave in writing; and (b) the employer agrees. 7.3.8 Casual Employees engaged in continuous service shall be entitled to personal leave limited to the provision of sub clause 7.3.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

  • Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency.
