Personal Time off (PeTO). Section 1. Paid PeTO Periods PeTO with pay will be granted in each calendar year (hereinafter called the "PeTO Year") to in the unit eligible employees, for use in one tenth of an hour increments, as vacation or personal business, as follows: Years of Continuous Service PeTO Less than 3 3 weeks (120 hours) 3 through 15 4 weeks (160 hours) More than 15 5 weeks (200 hours) New hires will be credited with 40 hours. *Accruals will commence on the first day of the fifth month (the 40-hour initial deposit represents an advance of the time that would have been accrued during the first four months) On 1/1/2012, current employees will be credited on a one-time basis, one-third of their eligible hours. Further accruals to begin on the first pay period in May, 2012. Employees will be credited with additional PeTO, according to the above schedule, in twice per month increments. Unused PeTO up to the annual eligibility may be carried into the next calendar year. During an accrual period which contains a service anniversary that results in a change in eligibility amount, the employee’s accrual rate will increase effective the next accrual deposit. Personal Time off (PeTO). 1. PeTO is Effective 1/1/2014. Eligibility for Personal Time-Off: PeTO may be used in one (1) hour increments. It may be used for Vacation and Personal Business Purposes. PeTO will be counted as time worked for overtime purposes. It will be accrued by eligible employees as follows: Schedule C: <3 years of service 120 hours >3 years of service 160 hours >15 years of service 200 hours * Accruals will commence on the first day of the fifth month (the 40-hour initial deposit represents an advance of the time that would have been accrued during the first four months) (a) Employees on active or protected service status as of January 1, 2014, will be credited with one-third (1/3) of hours eligible according to the above schedule. Employees with original hire or rehire dates on or after January 1, 2014 will have their PeTO bank credited with 40-hours on their first day of employment. (b) Employees will be credited additional PeTO time, according to the above schedule during the year in twice per month increments. (c) Unused PeTO up to the annual eligibility may be carried into the next calendar year. (d) During an accrual period which contains a service anniversary that results in a change in an employee’s 12-month eligibility amount, the employee’s accrual rate will increase effective the next accrual deposit. For example, an employee that reaches his/her fifteen year service anniversary will see an increase from 6.67 hours twice monthly to 8.33 hours twice monthly effective at his/her next accrual deposit. (e) An employee will continue to accrue PeTO during the following statuses: active, paid disability, FMLA unpaid, or paid military leave. Employees on unpaid personal absences or long term disability will not continue to accrue PeTO. Schedule B: (a) Current employees as of October 1, 2013 will have a one-time opportunity to choose Schedule B in October 2013. (b) Employees who choose Schedule B will have their entire annual eligibility amount credited to their PeTO bank on the first day of the calendar year per the following schedule: Years of Cont.   • Personal Time Off Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to executives.

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one-hour increments.

  • PERSONAL/XXXXX’S LEAVE 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative. 7.3.2 All accrued personal leave shall be available for use as carer's leave in accordance with the provisions outlined below. 7.3.3 As part of its commitment to provide a family-friendly workplace, the employer will allow employees to use any amount of accrued personal /xxxxx's leave to enable employees to: (a) provide primary care to partners, children and/or other household or family members. (b) attend the funerals of family or household members or close family relatives (if compassionate leave is not available in the circumstances). 7.3.4 The leave provided for in this clause will be granted subject to the following: (a) The employee must notify the employer of the reason and likely duration of the absence before 7.00 am on the first day of the absence, unless this is not possible due to an unexpected emergency in which case the employee must notify the employer as soon as practicable. (b) Where circumstances permit, an employee must endeavour to arrange leave to minimise the impact on operational needs. (c) The provision of appropriate documentary evidence. 1. For sick leave, a medical certificate or if not reasonably practicable to provide a medical certificate- a statutory declaration made by the employee. 2. For xxxxx's leave, a medical certificate in respect to the family or household member, or a statutory declaration by the employee. 3. For compassionate leave, any evidence that the employer reasonably requires. 7.3.5 The employee is not entitled to take more than 10 days of paid xxxxx’s leave (1/26th of the nominal hours worked by the employee) per year, regardless of the amount of personal leave the employee has accumulated over time. 7.3.6 An employee may request to cash out any amount of paid personal/carer’s leave that they have accrued that is excess of 3/52 of the number of nominal hours worked over the past 12 months. For example, an employee working 38 hours per week over 12 months must retain 15 days of paid personal/carer’s leave and may cash out any further personal/carer’s leave that has been accumulated. 7.3.7 In addition to the above, a request to cash out personal/carer’s leave will only be granted where: (a) the employee elects to cash out their leave in writing; and (b) the employer agrees. 7.3.8 Casual Employees engaged in continuous service shall be entitled to personal leave limited to the provision of sub clause 7.3.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner: (A) All full time employees shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours of personal leave with pay each fiscal year; (B) Part-time, seasonal, and job share employees shall be granted such leave in a prorated amount of twenty-four (24) hours based on the same percentage or fraction of month they are hired to work, or as subsequently formally modified, provided it is anticipated that they will work 1,040 hours during the fiscal year; Section 2. Should any employee fail to work 1,040 hours for the fiscal year, the value of personal leave time used may be recovered from the employee. Section 3. Personal leave shall not be cumulative from year to year nor is any unused leave compensable in any other manner. Section 4. Such leave may be used by an employee for any purpose he/she desires and may be taken at times mutually agreeable to the university and the employee.

  • Personal Leave With Pay Full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use up to a maximum of six days personal leave with pay per year provided that such days shall be charged against the employee's currently accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Day All employees shall receive a personal day in each contract year. This personal day is in addition to the holidays listed in paragraph 3 above. The personal day shall be scheduled in accordance with the following provision: Employees may select such day off on five (5) days notice to the Employer provided such selection does not result in a reduction of employees in the building below 75% of the normal work staff. Such selection shall be made in accordance with seniority.

  • Personal Holidays An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal holiday during each calendar year if the employee has been continuously employed by the State of Washington and/or the Employer for more than four (4) months. A. An employee who is scheduled to work less than six (6) continuous months over a period covering two (2) calendar years will receive only one (1) personal holiday during this period. B. The Employer will release the employee from work on the day selected as the personal holiday if: 1. The employee has given at least ten (10) calendar days' written notice to the supervisor. However, the supervisor has the discretion to allow a shorter notice period. 2. The number of employees choosing a specific day off allows an Employer to continue its work efficiently and not incur overtime. C. Personal holidays may not be carried over to the next calendar year except when an eligible employee’s request to take their personal holiday has been denied or canceled. The employee will attempt to reschedule their personal holiday during the balance of the calendar year. If the employee is unable to reschedule the day, it will be carried over to the next calendar year. D. Employers may adopt eligibility policies to determine which requests for particular dates will be granted if all requests cannot be granted. E. The pay for an employee’s personal holiday is equivalent to the employee’s work shift on the day selected for the personal holiday absence. F. Part or all of a personal holiday may be donated to another employee for shared leave as provided in RCW 41.04.

  • Personal Leave Without Pay Leave of absence without pay may be granted by the College for legitimate personal reasons.
