Preceptors. A nurse assigned as a preceptor will be paid a differential of $2 4.00 worked as a preceptor. A preceptor is a nurse who is designated by his/her nurse manager to assess the learning needs of a nurse or capstone student nurse; plan the nurse's/capstone student nurse’s learning program; implement the program; provide direct guidance and supervision to the nurse during the program; and, in conjunction with the nurse manager and/or designee, evaluate the nurse's progress during the program. This differential will not be paid for any unworked hours or for any hours when the nurse is not working as a preceptor.
Preceptors. The residency program directors shall have authority to delegate preceptorial responsibilities for specific segments of their respective residency programs to other pharmacy practitioners. In addition to meeting the requirements set out by the residency accrediting body, preceptors must have demonstrated a sustained contribution and commitment to the respective area of pharmacy practice.
Preceptors. The RN Preceptor, as defined in the Position Posting and Filling Vacancies Article, shall be exempt from the cancellation/rotation system for those shifts during which the nurse is assigned with the orientee, however this work shall be included in the nurse’s percentage calculation.
Preceptors. When an employee is assigned as a Preceptor to provide oversight to a student during their clinical rotation, the employee will receive an additional $1 per hour for all hours worked as a Preceptor. A Preceptor may be assigned to a student when the Hospital has engaged in an agreement with an educational institution to offer a clinical rotation at Island Hospital. The role of Preceptor may include hands-on teaching, support and evaluation of the student. The assignment of Preceptor will be based upon demonstrated competency and aptitude for supporting a student’s learning experience.
Preceptors. A nurse who is assigned primary preceptor duties shall not be subject to the float rotation for the shift in which they are precepting.
Preceptors. Effective with the first full pay period beginning after ratification of this Agreement, a nurse assigned as a preceptor will be paid a differential of $2.00 worked as a preceptor. A preceptor is a nurse who is designated by his/her nurse manager to assess the learning needs of a nurse or capstone student nurse; plan the nurse's/capstone student nurse’s learning program; implement the program; provide direct guidance and supervision to the nurse during the program; and, in conjunction with the nurse manager and/or designee, evaluate the nurse's progress during the program. Preceptors. The intern could have multiple preceptors during the Public Health, Foodservice and Clinical supervised practice rotations; each will be responsible for hours, assignments, and evaluations during their respective rotations. The intern will receive support from the Program in acquiring rotations, however it is ultimately up to the intern to secure finalized rotation schedules and complete all rotations in order to complete the Program. The intern acknowledges and agrees to a possible commute to and from rotation sites; this commute may be longer than their normal commute to/from their WIC clinic. Progress Evaluations The intern will be updated regularly on their progress towards demonstrating entry-level practice standards. This is to include but is not limited to written and oral progress reports, evaluations, and performance reviews. These reviews and reports will remain within the Program and will not be part of the intern’s personnel file within the Local Agency. The Clinical, Foodservice and Public Health preceptors will also evaluate the intern’s performance and progress and shared with program Administrators throughout the duration of the Program.
Preceptors. There shall be sufficient preceptors to provide 12 support for the recent graduates. In order to fulfill this commitment, the Medical 13 Center shall assign more than one preceptor for each recent graduate. These 14 preceptors will receive training in order to provide them with sufficient education, 15 resources, and support for their important work.
Preceptors. The Medical Center shall provide a special educational day to enhance teaching and learning skills, in a collaborative effort with the Health Education Department for preceptors. To be eligible as preceptor, a nurse must attend, with management approval, the training offered herein on an annual basis. The nurse will be initially eligible for the preceptor differential set forth in paragraph C.1 above upon completion of the following: (a) the initial training; (b) 80 hours of precepting; and

A preceptor is a nurse who is 29 designated by his/her nurse manager to assess the learning needs of a nurse or 30 capstone student nurse; plan the nurse's/capstone student nurse’s learning 31 program; implement the program; provide direct guidance and supervision to the 1 nurse during the program; and, in conjunction with the nurse manager and/or 2 designee, evaluate the nurse's progress during the program. This differential will 3 not be paid for any unworked hours or for any hours when the nurse is not 4 working as a preceptor.
