Professional Staff Meetings. The parties agree there is a need for professional staff meetings. The administration’s goal is to distribute committee assignments equitably when possible. Efforts will be made to avoid scheduling committee meetings during high classroom management times, such as at the end of the quarter.
Professional Staff Meetings. 5:5.1 It is further agreed by the Association and the Committee, and recognized by both, that placing unwarranted demands on the time of professional personnel is undesirable. However, it is also recognized that a dynamic school system is constantly striving toward excellence, which can only emanate from professional conversation about professional matters leading to purposeful decisions. It is further recognized that it is desirable and necessary that professional personnel meet to make recommendations to the Administration and Committee on curriculum matters concerning the various departments and divisions of the school system.
5:5.2 All mandatory meetings will usually be called on Thursdays except that an allowance may be made to an individual faculty or curriculum group, department, team or grade level group to hold a meeting(s) on other than Thursdays at the discretion of the individual group involved, and provided that there is no conflict with a previously established system-wide meeting.
5:5.2.1 Teachers involved in the district’s Mentor Program will attend up to four

1. Through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, the principal may schedule only two regular faculty meetings per month between the months of September through May. Faculty meetings shall not exceed seventy-five (75) minutes. Such meetings shall start no later than fifteen (15) minutes after the end of the student school day. Only one (1) regular faculty meeting of up to seventy-five (75) minutes shall be held during the months in which Parent-Teacher Conferences occur.
2. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, all student attendance Mondays will be early release or late start days for the purpose of engaging in professional learning with staff. Early release/late start professional development shall not exceed seventy-five (75) minutes. Such meetings shall start no later than fifteen (15) minutes after the end of the student school day. During parent-teacher conference week, professional learning shall be educator-directed. If the parties are unable to reach mutual agreement prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year, the parties shall revert to the prior professional learning schedule in place as of the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
3. Another meeting may be scheduled when the principal determines that an emergency exists. The District shall post the dates of faculty meetings on the District-wide master calendar by September 15 of each school year. No dates for faculty meetings shall be changed after September 15.
4. The District-wide master calendar shall be compiled so as to avoid conflicts in scheduling of meetings and to provide appropriate intervals between meetings insofar as practicable.

Professional Staff Meetings. (a) Staff shall remain after the close of the school day without additional compensation on one (1) day per month for up to forty-five (45) minutes to attend meetings called by their program supervisor and/or administrator. Such meetings shall last no longer than forty-five (45) minutes beyond the workday and shall begin no later than ten (10) minutes after the end of the workday. Staff may, if appropriate, place educational related items on the agenda. An agenda shall be available for staff three (3) days prior to the meeting date.
(b) Clare-Gladwin Area School Staff may have up to two (2) meetings per month, not to exceed 15
Professional Staff Meetings. During the school year release time may be granted for professional staff meetings with the approval of the Superintendent.
Professional Staff Meetings. 1. It is understood that the need for total staff Involvement in educational matters exists. This involvement shall be accomplished via Professional Staff meetings. Professional Staff meetings shall be held monthly, September through June, and follow a pre-established schedule. Additional meetings shall be called at the sole discretion of the administration, not to exceed one per month.
2. Notice of professional staff meetings shall be given to teachers involved at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting except in an emergency. There shall be no more than two (2) professional staff meetings per month, but not to exceed eighteen (18) per school year, except in cases of emergency.
3. In the event subcommittees become necessary, upon request of the administration the Association shall provide the names of teachers to serve on said committees to perform preliminary curriculum work on an unpaid basis.
4. The district shall continue the practice of paying teachers who are approved to work on summer curriculum projects in accordance with Article XV, Section A.
Professional Staff Meetings. The Association and the Board recognize the need for having a limited number of professional staff meetings.
1.) Building faculty meetings, if scheduled, shall not exceed one (1) per month, except in emergency situations. Such meetings shall be held after the regular school day and shall not exceed one (1) hour in duration.
2.) Departmental or curriculum meetings, if scheduled, shall not exceed two per month per teacher. Such meetings generally shall be held after the normal teacher workday and shall not exceed one and one-half hours in duration. The Superintendent or his/her designee may schedule meetings for curriculum planning and textbook evaluation during all or part of the regular teacher workday.
3.) Attendance at the meetings provided for in the preceding two (2) subparagraphs is part of each teacher’s expected work duties. The Board may schedule other meetings for similar or other purposes, but a teacher’s attendance at such meetings shall be voluntary.
