Re: Sick Leave. The parties agree that any existing collective agreement provisions with respect to the items listed below, that do not conflict with the clauses in the Sick Leave article in the Central Agreement, shall remain status quo for the term of this collective agreement:
Re: Sick Leave. (a) In completing the Record of Employment the Employer agrees to complete the appropriate blocks including #19 and indicate the start date of the sick leave and weekly amount.
Re: Sick Leave. Part time employees who elected status quo and remained in the sick leave plan will be entitled to payment from their accumulated sick leave credits for prescheduled hours in accordance with the sick leave article. The Employer will preschedule for absences once it has knowledge therefore to the extent that it is able to do so.
Re: Sick Leave. The parties agree to the establishment of a committee composed of an equal number of union and Government representatives (to a maximum of 8 committee members in total) to explore sick leave utilization of the unionized workforce throughout the public service of Newfoundland Labrador and to make non-binding recommendations to CUPE and Government. The terms of reference for the committee shall be determined prior to the commencement of their meetings. Re: Sick Leave. 1. Employees who have been absent one full work day or more on more than three separate occasions during any May 1 - April 30 period will not be paid for the first three days of any subsequent absence due to illness or injury. Employees will be entitled to two partial day pay incidence due to illness. For any subsequent partial day absence due to illness, employees will be compensated only for those hours worked.
