Request for Reclassification Sample Clauses
Request for Reclassification. An employee may initiate a request for a classification study of his/her position by completing the Position Description (80.4) Form which may be obtained from the Personnel Commission office.
Request for Reclassification. An employee or the District is entitled to request that a position be reclassified. In the case of an employee, the request shall be submitted prior to February 1st of each year to the Human Resources Department. The employee(s) or employer requesting the reclassification shall present his/her facts in writing to the Human Resources Department with any substantiating evidence. (Forms for reclassification requests are available through the Human Resources Department.)
Request for Reclassification. Reclassification requests initiated by an employee shall be submitted to the appropriate administrative officer on the standard form provided for reclassification by the District. A copy of the form is in Appendix C.
Request for Reclassification. Requests to have a position analyzed for possible reclassification may be made by a unit member for an existing position.
Request for Reclassification. 19.3.1 Requests to reclassify all unit members within a classification having more than one (1) unit member are covered by this reclassification process.
Request for Reclassification. 32 a. Any employee requesting a reclassification shall not be eligible to resubmit 33 another request for three years.
34 b. Reclassification is open to any permanent employee (as long as a 35 reclassification for their job class has not been submitted within the past 36 three years).
37 c. Any employee who meets the eligibility criteria for reclassification 38 consideration shall complete and submit to the Assistant Superintendent 39 Human Resources, a Reclassification Packet by 5:00 p.m. on January 10th. 40 Incomplete packets shall not be considered and the employee will not be 41 eligible to submit another request for (3) three years.
42 d. Any employee who is requesting a reclassification shall submit a completed 43 Reclassification Packet with all required attachments and signatures. 44 Incomplete packets shall not be considered and the employee shall not be 45 eligible to submit another request for three (3) years.
Request for Reclassification. Employees and their supervisor and/or the District may file a request for reclassification with the Classified Review Board by October 31 or March 31 of any work year. The Classified Review Board shall convene and consider the request within twenty (20) working days after the filing dates listed above. The Classified Review Board shall issue a decision regarding the request to the Association President and employee’s supervisor within twenty (20) working days following the meeting of the actual hearing date. Decisions of the Classified Review Board are not subject to appeal or the grievance process.
Request for Reclassification. 29 When an employee believes the essential duties and responsibilities of their job have changed to such a 30 degree that their current responsibilities are no longer within the scope of their current job 31 classification/description, the employee may request to have their job evaluated for reclassification. A 32 review is available through the Classification Review Committee. This committee shall be comprised 33 of the following individuals: 34 35 • Director of Human Resources or designee 36 • Two (2) District appointees 37 • PSE President or designee 38 • Two (2) PSE appointees 39 40 Prior to submitting a Reclassification Request Form, the employee must first meet with their direct 41 supervisor to discuss their job assignment, duties and responsibilities as it relates to the review of the 42 position. The Supervisor must sign the form acknowledging that this conversation has occurred. The 43 Supervisor or the Association may assist the Employee with filling out the reclassification request 44 form. A request for reclassification cannot be submitted by an employee more than once per year.
Request for Reclassification. Beginning February 2001 and during the month of February each year, reclassification may be requested for any position in Appendix B of this Agreement. The request for reclassification shall contain the following:
22.2.1 The classification or position to be reclassified;
22.2.2 The existing job description and salary placement;
22.2.3 The proposed job description and salary placement;
22.2.4 The basis for the reclassification;
22.2.5 If a position is reclassified and there is no incumbent, then the job shall be posted.
Request for Reclassification. If an employee, SUP or a Department believes the duties and responsibilities of a position have changed and are no longer accurately described by the job description for the classification for, the classification, the employee, SUP or a Department may make a request for reclassification to the Director of Human Resources or designee. Such requests shall be made in writing using a form specified by the Human Resources Department For employee or SUP requests, a reclassification study may not be requested more than one time every two years for the same classification. Additionally, Human Resources will review each request and determine whether to move forward with the requested reclassification study. If SUP disagrees with Human Resources’ decision, Human Resources and SUP will meet. If as a result of that meeting, an agreement between Human Resources and the SUP is not reached, the reclassification study will be conducted. All employee, SUP and Department initiated requests must be submitted to Human Resources between July 1 and July 31 for implementation in the next fiscal year. Before a request for reclassification can be submitted, the employee must have been performing duties that are not accurately described by the employee’s job description for at least nine (9) months. If a request for reclassification is made, there shall be no changes to the employee’s wages, hours, or working conditions as a result of the reclassification without first completing the meet and confer process with the Association. The Director of Human Resources or designee shall conduct a classification study of the position. A copy of the classification study report shall be provided to the employees affected and the SUP. If a reclassification or salary adjustment is recommended and approved, the affected employee(s) will be reclassified effective the next July 1 (or the effective date of the next City budget). In the event the reclassification request is denied, neither the employee nor the SUP have the right to grieve the decision.
