Reserve Military Leave Sample Clauses

Reserve Military Leave. Any employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve Military Forces will be entitled to paid absence from duties not to exceed 30 workdays in any federal fiscal year (October 1st through September 30th), provided the employee is employed at least 90 days prior to the leave. Employees are not required to take their leave in one block of time but may use the paid leave allowed under this rule over the course of the federal fiscal year.

Reserve Military Leave. Employees obligated to serve in Military Reserve Corps or National Guard Units shall follow the procedure outline below when applying for leaves:
Reserve Military Leave. Such leave of absence shall be granted as provided in RCW 38.40.060, for periods of active duty or active training duty, including weekend drills, for a period not exceeding a total of twenty-one (21) workdays during each year beginning October 1st and ending the following September 30th, provided the request for such leave is in writing and accompanied by a validated copy of military orders. Employees entering military service for more than twenty-one (21) workdays, who have requested leave as prescribed above, shall be granted leave as provided by applicable state and federal statutes. Such leave will be in addition to any vacation leave to which an employee might otherwise be entitled.
Reserve Military Leave. All full-time EMPLOYEES who, by reason of membership in the Active Reserve Forces of the United States or in the National Guard, are ordered by the proper authority to full-time active duty or to attend full-time training activities shall be entitled to a leave of absence with pay during the actual duration of such activity, but not to exceed fifteen (15) consecutive days in one (1) year. The City will pay the difference between normal base pay and military pay when the latter is less. Evidence of military payment including wages and subsistence payment will be used to make the determination of City payment. Weekend duty with the Active Reserve Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be on the EMPLOYEES own time An EMPLOYEE scheduled to work on a drill weekend shall arrange to trade shifts with another qualified EMPLOYEE or make other appropriate arrangements, or take leave of absence without pay. Reserve Military Leave. Employees who are members of the active reserve services of the United States Armed Forces and who are ordered to perform annual training duty of no more than two (2) weeks duration as Training Duty Reservists shall be paid the difference between the compensation (excluding travel and per diem) pay received from Armed Forces for such training duty and their regular hourly rate of pay exclusive of all premiums; provided that such employees, in order to be eligible for such pay, must furnish to their supervisors written certification from their Commanding Officers attesting to the performance and dates of such service and a copy of their leave and earning statement. Under exceptional circumstances (national emergency, time of war) .military leave may be extended. However, wages will only be allowed for a total of two (2) weeks of military leave, as stated above.

  • Extended Military Leave 1. Extended military leave shall be granted to an employee who enlists or is ordered into active duty in the United States Armed Forces or a reserve component or who is ordered into active Federal military duty as a member of the National Guard or Naval Militia. Such leave shall be granted for active-duty service of any length or for active-duty training in excess of 180 days.
