Rostered Day Off Falling on Public Holiday. An employee who by the arrangement of his/her ordinary hours of work is entitled to a rostered day off which falls on a public holiday prescribed by this clause shall be paid for that day 7 hours 36 minutes at ordinary rates. This provision shall not apply when the holiday on which he/she is rostered off falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

Rostered Day Off Falling on Public Holiday. (a) Except as provided for in subclause (b) below, where a full-time employee's ordinary hours of work are structured to include a day off and such day off falls on a public holiday, the employee is entitled to, at the discretion of the Company, either: • 7 hours and 36 minutes pay at ordinary rates; or • 7 hours and 36 minutes added to their annual leave; or • a substitute day off on an alternative week day. This will not apply where the rostered day off falls on a Saturday or a Sunday. (i) Where an employee has credited time accumulated towards an RDO, then such credited time should not be taken as a day off on a public holiday. (ii) If an employee is rostered to take credited time as a day off on a week day and such week day is prescribed as a public holiday after the employee was given notice of the day off, then the Company will allow the employee to take the time off on an alternative week day. (iii) Paragraphs (i) and (ii) above will not apply in relation to days off which are specified in an employee's regular roster or pattern of ordinary hours. Subclause will apply in such circumstances.

Rostered Day Off Falling on Public Holiday. Shiftworkers - where an employee works a roster where a rostered day off falls on a public holiday, the employee shall receive 7 hours 36 minutes at ordinary rates exclusive of shift premiums. This shall not apply where the rostered day off falls on a Saturday or a Sunday. 21.1 All allowances for licenses, where required, tools, disabilities and the like are incorporated in the base salaries set out in this agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours. (b) For Shiftworkers, double time and a half (inclusive of their shift loading) must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.
