SCHEDULED TRAINING. 14.1 Training hours may be scheduled in lieu of the Employee's scheduled shift. Should the hours of scheduled training and approved travel time be less than the hours of a normal shift, the difference may be rescheduled by the Employer or, at the Employee’s option, deducted from the Employee’s compensatory time, annual leave, or holiday time.

SCHEDULED TRAINING. Due to the nature of the Home Share program, designated training sessions for Crisis Training, First Aid training and/or, other training that may come up on a case by-case basis, shall be conducted specific to the Home Sharers. Attendance is mandatory and sessions shall be scheduled with at least five (5) months notice so all Home Sharers have adequate notice and can plan to attend. Each session shall be 1 day in length and if the Home Sharers miss the training, they shall be responsible for obtaining the training on their own time, at their own expense, within the time frames specified by the Employer by attending a regular OCL 2 day course and said training shall be without additional respite
SCHEDULED TRAINING. Any employee who is scheduled by the Department to attend day long training during his or her normal shift or working hours shall be deemed to be on duty and there shall be no loss of salary. The Department will abide by the "day for a day" theory for any day long training not lasting more than four (4) days. This policy provides that the employee will not owe the Department time should the day long training course be shorter than the officer's regularly scheduled work day. This theory applies only to scheduled full- day training courses. For overtime calculation purposes, only actual hours in training will count as actual hours worked.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Specialized Training The Agency agrees to provide state-wide minimum standards of training for specialized assignments or required duties, such as Emergency Response Team, Special Emergency Response Team, and other posts, where use of weapons, use of physical force or breathing apparatus are required.

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. Pursuant to O.C.G.A §20-2-2072 and relevant State Board rules, the training shall include, but not be limited to, best practices on school governance, the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to public records and meetings, and the requirements of applicable statutes and rules and regulations.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.
