SCHOOL COMMITTEES. A. The involvement of professional staff members on various school committees is recognized by the Association and Board as important to the overall effectiveness of the educational programs for the children of the community. Further, the parties recognize that the involvement of members of the community, in conjunction with professional staff, is important and necessary.
B. Professional staff member participation on the various school committees (building and/or District) shall be voluntary.
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. Teachers that serve on Participatory Decision Making 21 committees in individual schools will be selected by the teachers in that school by secret ballot 22 counted by the Association’s designated representative(s) and the Board representative(s). 24 (1) Discontinuation: Each participating school shall establish procedures whereby employees 25 within the school may choose not to continue in the program for an ensuing year. Such procedures 26 shall be forwarded to the TALC Labor/Management Committee prior to initiating the procedures 27 for discontinuation of Participatory Decision Making. 29 13.04 – WAIVERS AND DEVIATIONS
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. Employees that serve on school-based decision-making 23 committees in individual schools will be selected by the employees in that school by secret ballot 24 counted by the Association’s designated representative(s) and the Board’s representative(s).
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. The members of the bargaining unit in each school shall elect a School Committee. Such Committee, however, shall not have fewer than three (3) members, nor more than seven (7) members. Upon request of either party, the Committee shall have the right to meet with the building principal to hold discussions which will include, but not be limited to, the following areas: supplementary texts, materials, supplies and equipment to be purchased within budget allocation for that school or department; problems within the school relating to the implementation of this Agreement or district-wide Board policies. Further, the initiating party will submit to the other, at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting, an agenda covering the proposed meeting.
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. Teachers that serve on Participatory Decision Making committees in individual schools will be selected by the teachers in that school by secret ballot counted by the Association’s designated representative(s) and the Board representative(s).
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. (a) The Association Representative shall facilitate the election of association members to a School Committee of no fewer than three (3) and no more than seven (7) members.
(b) Upon the request of either the Association or the District, a School Committee shall meet with the school’s Administrator to hold discussions which will include, but not be limited to: (1) supplementary texts; (2) materials; (3) supplies and equipment to be purchased within budget allocation for that school or department; and (4) issues within the school relating to the implementation of this Agreement or District-wide policies.
(c) The party requesting a meeting shall submit a meeting agenda to the other at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting.
(d) Time spent participating in the committee meeting will not be deducted from the calculated planning time for the week.
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. All new committees listed in this agreement shall meet at a time during the work day in which all staff who are on the committee are able to meet, unless, by majority vote, the committee decides to meet outside of school hours. Two committees will be established at Bricolage with the goal of school improvement through increased teacher voice. These committees will be the School Leadership Committee and the Labor Management Committee. These committees will meet no less than quarterly, unless otherwise agreed to by majority vote of the committee, so that they may present their recommendations to the full faculty at monthly faculty meetings. Minutes of each committee meeting will be taken and a copy of such minutes will be sent to the Board President within five
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. A School Staff Advisory Committee will be established in each school consisting of the Principal, Union Xxxxxxx and up to two other teachers by the teaching staff. It is understood that each of a twinned school have teacher representation. This committee shall:
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. School committees with responsibility for learning and teaching should monitor the operation of their SSLCs and: • Receive reports from SSLCs and consider the resulting actions, including the outcomes of referring any issues to School committees, University committees or Professional Services directorates • Respond to issues raised by SSLCs by considering what action should be taken and reporting back to the SSLC on such actions and the reasoning behind this • Receive reports from Vice-Presidents or Presidents and consider any actions to be taken to enhance the effectiveness of the School student representation system
SCHOOL COMMITTEES. School Presidents are full members of their respective School Boards and the committees for learning and teaching and quality and academic standards. As each of the six DUSA Sabbatical Officers has responsibility for one or more School, they are full members of their designated School Board.
