Secretariat. 1. The secretariat established by Article 8 of the Convention shall serve as the secretariat of this Agreement.
2. Article 8, paragraph 2, of the Convention on the functions of the secretariat, and Article 8, paragraph 3, of the Convention on arrangements made for the functioning of the secretariat shall apply mutatis mutandis to this Agreement. The secretariat shall, in addition, exercise the functions assigned to it under this Agreement and by the CMA.
Secretariat. 9.9.1 This Agreement shall be serviced by the GATT secretariat.
Secretariat. 1. This Treaty hereby establishes a Secretariat to assist States Parties in the effective implementation of this Treaty. Pending the first meeting of the Conference of States Parties, a provisional Secretariat will be responsible for the administrative functions covered under this Treaty.
2. The Secretariat shall be adequately staffed. Staff shall have the necessary expertise to ensure that the Secretariat can effectively undertake the responsibilities described in paragraph 3.
3. The Secretariat shall be responsible to States Parties. Within a minimized structure, the Secretariat shall undertake the following responsibilities:
(a) Receive, make available and distribute the reports as mandated by this Treaty;
(b) Maintain and make available to States Parties the list of national points of contact;
(c) Facilitate the matching of offers of and requests for assistance for Treaty implementation and promote international cooperation as requested;
(d) Facilitate the work of the Conference of States Parties, including making arrangements and providing the necessary services for meetings under this Treaty; and
(e) Perform other duties as decided by the Conferences of States Parties.
Secretariat. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific shall be designated the secretariat of the Agreement.
Secretariat. This Agreement shall be serviced by the WTO Secretariat.
Secretariat. The secretariat of each Committee shall be the Council’s Executive Director (or his or her designee). The Committee secretariat is responsible for taking and distributing Committee meeting minutes, maintaining the Committee rosters, and other Committee administrative matters. • Committee reports. Committee co-chairs will provide a report, in relation to the affairs of their Committee, including any significant actions, determinations, and recommendations made by the Committee, at each quarterly scheduled Council meeting. • Third-party firms. Subject to Board approval, Committees may engage independent firms and other experts or consultants as the Committee determines advisable or necessary to carry out its responsibilities.
Secretariat. 13. The Secretariat will be established to support the work of the Steering Committee. The Secretariat will comprise a small team of professional and administrative staff employed by the World Bank. The Secretariat will be headed by a program manager within the office of the Director of Strategy of the Latin America and the Caribbean Region of the World Bank.
14. The Secretariat will be responsible for: receiving Project and Program proposals and funding requests for review by the Steering Committee; notifying the Trustee of funding requests approved by the Steering Committee; submitting Project and Program proposals approved by the Steering Committee for consideration by the IHRC and thereafter communicating instructions by the Steering Committee for transfer of funds to the Partner Entities; organizing meetings of the Steering Committee; drafting and circulating minutes of Steering Committee discussions; providing public information on Trust Fund Activities on a website to be created; offering guidance to the Partner Entities on the processes and requirements as laid out by the Steering Committee; receiving and consolidating annual reports on implementation results; receiving periodic financial reports submitted by the Partner Entities for distribution to the Steering Committee and Donors; drafting an operational manual; collaborating with the Trustee to ensure that the Trustee has all the information necessary to carry out its responsibilities; and performing any other functions assigned to it by a decision of the Steering Committee.
C. Trustee
Secretariat. The secretariat shall be a permanent organization consisting of up to two (2) secretaries. One secretary shall be appointed by each of the Parties or they may share one. The secretaries shall not be members of JMC, but may attend meetings of JMC to perform the following duties:
(a) to keep minutes of meetings;
(b) to prepare summaries of the resolutions for JMC meetings;
(c) to draft and transmit notices of meetings; and
(d) to receive and transmit proposals, reports or plans submitted by the Operator and/or proposed by any Party to the Contract, that require discussion, review or approval by JMC.
Secretariat. 1. A Secretariat is hereby established.
2. The functions of the Secretariat shall include:
a. Arrange for and service meetings of the Conference of the Parties and of other bodies established by this Agreement;
b. Transmit to the Parties notifications, reports and other information received in accordance with this Agreement;
c. Consider inquiries by, and information from, the Parties, and to consult with them on questions relating to this Agreement;
d. Ensure the necessary co-ordination with other relevant international bodies and in particular to enter into administrative arrangements as may be required for the effective discharge of the Secretariat functions; and
e. Perform such other functions as may be assigned to it by the Parties.
3. The ASEAN Secretariat shall serve as the Secretariat to this Agreement.
Secretariat. This Agreement shall be serviced by the WTO Secretariat except in regard to those responsibilities specifically assigned to the Technical Committee, which will be serviced by the CCC Secretariat.
