Section M. Secretaries who do not receive permission to earn overtime will not be required to work beyond their scheduled workday and will not be negatively impacted as a result of overtime denial.
Section M. The Board shall provide, at no cost to staff members, a Flexible Spending Account Plan. Staff members may defer certain predetermined amounts of their compensation which will be considered before tax earnings. These amounts will, at the direction of the individual participant, be used to reimburse said participant for certain health care and/or dependent care expenses incurred and considered deductible under the Internal Revenue Code.

Section M. Submit Compliance Reports to OCR for monitoring purposes. The first report is due within thirty (30) calendar days after the Agreement has been in effect for six (6) months and annually thereafter (Section M.3). Section M. When it becomes necessary to reduce a teacher’s pay because of an unpaid absence from work, the per diem pay will be computed as 1/185, returning teachers & 1/186, new teachers, of the teacher’s annual salary plus benefits. FMLA qualified benefits will not be deducted.

Section M. The daily schedules for teachers who are assigned to more than one school will be arranged so as to minimize the amount of inter-school travel. Such teachers will be notified of any changes in their schedules as soon as practicable, but preferably not later than June 1. All teachers who are required to use their own automobiles in the performance of their assignments shall receive reimbursement for such use at the rate established by the United States Internal Revenue Service for the year in which the travel occurs. The Superintendent will annually request ½ day released time in mid-November to enable K-12 staff to conduct required parental conferences. The K-12 staff will have input in arranging meaningful conference schedules. In the Fall and Spring for Elementary School, parent teacher conferences may occur on one evening if an individual teacher so chooses. If all conferences are completed in the evening, then they are eligible to work a half day on a subsequent day. In the Spring, there will either be parent-teacher conferences or an Open House, as determined by the District. For secondary teachers in the fall, parent teacher conferences will be scheduled for one Middle School evening and one High School evening. Secondary teachers shall be eligible to work one- half day in the Fall and one-half day in the Spring. The Association will be given the opportunity to make school calendar recommendations at least seven (7) days prior to the final approval by the Committee. The adopted calendar will not be altered except in the case of emergency. The School Committee shall determine the presence of emergency.
