Shift Replacement. A nurse may have a pre-scheduled shift off by finding a qualified replacement to work providing that {1} the Nurse Manager receives and acknow- ledges written notification not less than twelve (12) hours prior to the shift to be worked; and {2} no overtime or premium pay results from the schedule change, with the following exception: resource staff may not be utilized for such replacement without the Nurse Manager’s consent. This provision is intended for those occasional times when a nurse has been unable to plan and request time off prior to the posting of schedules. Once approval has been granted it will not be rescinded.

Shift Replacement. A nurse may have a pre-scheduled shift off by finding a qualified replacement to work providing that {1} the Hospital receives and acknowledges written notification not less than twelve- (12-) hours prior to the shift to be worked; and {2} no overtime or premium pay results from the schedule change, with the following exception: PRNresource staff may not be utilized for such replacement without the nurse manager, staffing office, or their designee’s consent. If the PRNresource nurse has already met theirher/his PRNresource obligation and there are no vacanciesholes in the schedule on that day, the nurse manager or their designee must approve the trade. Shift replacement is not meant to circumvent a department’s normal procedure for requests for time off in advance of the regular schedule. Managers are not obligated to approve such trades in the event that the nurseemployee has failed to utilize the time off request procedure. If the nurseemployee has requested and been denied such time off through normal advance procedures or if the request is being made for a day on a schedule that has already been posted, the above will apply. Once approval has been granted it will not be rescinded.

Shift Replacement. Bargaining unit employees who have bid on a shift and were selected to work that shift must find a replacement in the event said employee is no longer able to work. Once the employee has exhausted all internal replacements and is unable to find a replacement, the Employer shall assist by providing the substitute worker list as identified in Section 7 of this Article.

Shift Replacement. In the event that a shift must be filled due to absence of an employee, management has the ability to fill this shift with another employee without incurring overtime costs. A. Management or designee will first attempt to fill the vacant shift by calling, by seniority, qualified part-time union employees within the classification who could fill the shift without incurring overtime. If no part-time union employee accepts the shift on first call, management or designee will continue to call on-call workers to fill the shift.
Shift Replacement. Overtime work shall be offered to employees in the bargaining unit working within the same job classification and who are eligible to perform the work. Overtime work shall be first offered to the most senior employee 100% FTE; then most senior employee 80% and below; and then substitute workers (on-call). If after this process the overtime opportunity is not fulfilled, it will be the ultimate responsibility of management to assure that shift work duties are fulfilled. A listing of all employees, in order of seniority, shall be kept at all worksites and updated as needed by the operations manager and confirmed by the union.
Shift Replacement. Section 1: All replacements, or the need to call back extra police officers on any one shift, shall: (1) Be filled first by regular full-time police officers according to rank, if available; (2) Be filled second by patrolmen on the Permanent Intermittent List of Wilmington, if available. Section 5: The call-back roster will contain the name of the patrolman, the date of the call back, the time spent on the assignment and any other information needed to establish a rotating list being called in, up, or back to duty on a seniority basis as fully described in Article 30 of the Agreement, and as provided for in this Article 8 for more specific information and interrelated subject matter of Shift Replacement, overtime and seniority as they affect the personnel of the uniformed members of the Wilmington Police Department.
