Snow Removal Overtime. During snow removal emergency shift work, employees shall be paid straight time for the first eight hours of a twelve-hour shift if that work is performed during their regularly scheduled work week and at 1½ times the hourly rate thereafter. (See Snow and Ice Control Plan)‌ Section 5.8. Call-Back Pay. A call-back is defined as an official assignment of work which does not continuously precede or follow an employee’s scheduled working hours and involves the employee returning to work after the employee has worked a shift. A call-back shall be compensated at one and one-half (1½) times a fulltime employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on call-back, with a one (1) minimum for seasonal employees and a two (2) hour minimum for fulltime employees. This section shall not be applicable to scheduled overtime.‌

Snow Removal Overtime. Bargaining unit employees shall perform snow removal overtime. A Union member in the Maintenance Department, either the Union Chairperson or his designee will be responsible for maintaining snow removal overtime rotation. Such overtime shall be rotated equitably as provided in Section 7, above. If a bargaining unit employee demonstrates to the Chief Xxxxxxx or- his designee that he has not received an equitable opportunity to work snow plowing overtime, then the Chief Xxxxxxx or designee shall offer such employee future snow plowing overtime opportunities first until an equitable balance is achieved. Salting and snow removal overtime is paid regardless of the 40 physical work hour rule.
Snow Removal Overtime. The provisions for canvassing overtime in Section 9.07 above, shall be suspended for snow removal only, to the extent provided for in this Section, for the snow removal period of November, December, January, February, March and April. During this period snow removal overtime shall be handled by establishing two (2) crews from the three (3) divisions (Street Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance and Building Maintenance) in the Department of Public Works, and two (2) crews in the Parks and Recreation Department. One crew in each department shall be scheduled to work snow removal from 12:00 midnight to 12:00 noon and the other crew from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight. At the end of each pay period during the entire snow removal period, the two crews shall rotate these hours. Employees shall be canvassed in seniority order to determine their initial crew assignment, subject to the operational needs of the Employer. The crews will be established and posted by October 31 of each year. In the event that less than a full crew is needed, the City will contact the number of individuals it needs in seniority order. Should the Employer be unable to contact a crew member for his/her respective shift, the crew member on the opposite shift who is on the same route shall be contacted and required to report and fill the vacancy. The crew member replaced will then be required to report to the opposite shift and remain on that shift for the duration of the snow fall currently being removed. At the conclusion of that particular event, the replaced employees shall be transferred back to their original crews. Should additional employees be needed for snow removal overtime, eligible employees in the bargaining unit shall be canvassed in accordance with Section 9.07 of this Article. When the City utilizes twelve (12) hour shifts on holidays and weekends and the City is unable to contact a crew member for his/her respective snow removal shift, the crew member assigned to the other twelve (12) hour shift who is on the same route shall be contacted and required to report to work and fill the vacancy. However, should the call out be for three (3) hours or less, then the called-out crew member will remain and perform his/her assignment on the next shift as scheduled.

  • Snow Removal The plowing of snow from all roadways and unobstructed parking areas shall be the sole responsibility of LESSOR, the expense of which shall be included in Operating Costs. The control of snow and ice on all walkways, steps, and loading areas serving the leased premises and all other areas not readily accessible to plows unless they serve multiple tenants shall be the sole responsibility of LESSEE. Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, LESSEE shall hold LESSOR harmless from any and all claims by LESSEE's agents, representatives, employees, callers or invitees for damage or personal injury resulting in any way from snow or ice on any area serving the leased premises.

  • OIG Removal of IRO In the event OIG has reason to believe that the IRO does not possess the qualifications described in Paragraph B, is not independent and/or objective as set forth in Paragraph D, or has failed to carry out its responsibilities as described in Paragraph C, OIG may, at its sole discretion, require GSK to engage a new IRO in accordance with Paragraph A of this Appendix. GSK must engage a new IRO within 60 days of termination of the IRO. Prior to requiring GSK to engage a new IRO, OIG shall notify GSK of its intent to do so and provide a written explanation of why OIG believes such a step is necessary. To resolve any concerns raised by OIG, GSK may present additional information regarding the IRO’s qualifications, independence or performance of its responsibilities. OIG will attempt in good faith to resolve any differences regarding the IRO with GSK prior to requiring GSK to terminate the IRO. However, the final determination as to whether or not to require GSK to engage a new IRO shall be made at the sole discretion of OIG. I. Covered Functions Review, General Description As specified more fully below, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) shall retain an Independent Review Organization (IRO) (or IROs) to perform reviews (IRO Reviews) to assist GSK in assessing and evaluating its systems, processes, policies, procedures, and practices related to certain of GSK's Covered Functions (collectively, “IRO Covered Functions”). The IRO Review shall consist of two components - a systems review (Systems Review) and a transactions review (Transactions Review) as described more fully below. GSK may engage, at its discretion, a single IRO to perform both components of the IRO Review provided that the entity has the necessary expertise and capabilities to perform both. If there are no material changes in GSK’s systems, processes, policies, and procedures relating to the Covered IRO Functions, the IRO shall perform the Systems Review for the second and fifth IRO Reporting Periods. If GSK materially changes its systems, processes, policies, and procedures relating to the Covered IRO Functions, the IRO shall perform a Systems Review for the IRO Reporting Period(s) in which such changes were made in addition to conducting the Review for the second and fifth IRO Reporting Periods. The additional Systems Review(s) shall consist of: 1) an identification of the material changes; 2) an assessment of whether other systems, processes, policies, and procedures previously reported did not materially change; and 3) a review of the systems, processes, policies, and procedures that materially changed. The IRO shall conduct the Transactions Review for each IRO Reporting Period of the CIA.
