Overtime Rotation. Overtime assignments are an occasional part of custodial work and shall be a condition of employment. Except for emergencies, the District shall notify employees of overtime requirements at least 24 hours in advance of the expected requirement. Overtime assignments shall be offered to employees qualified to perform the work from a posted rotating seniority duty-station roster. The employee must be in paid status (including union leave) for 40 hours in the week prior to the overtime assignment to be eligible to work overtime on Saturday, Sundays, or holidays. If the employee is off and misses the regular assigned overtime, the employee’s name shall go to the end of the rotation list upon return to work. The employee shall accept the overtime assignment or find a replacement from the building staff. If no replacement can be found from the building staff, the employee may find a replacement from another building, providing that employee is acceptable as a replacement to the Operations Department. Employee replacements from other buildings must make all arrangements for orientation, keys, and security access on their own time. If the employee has notified the supervisor who the replacement will be, the replacement will be expected to work the overtime assignment. Operations shall retain the right to prohibit a workweek of seven consecutive days.

Any Building Overtime Events not selected through this process may be offered to substitute employees if available, or assigned to the least senior custodian on any overtime list, on a rotating basis. For Building Overtime Events which were not known at the time of the initial bid, upon being advised of the Building Overtime Event and determining that overtime work is needed, the supervisor shall offer the event on a continuous rotating seniority basis to the custodians assigned to that building. All persons on the overtime list shall provide the supervisor a contact number. The supervisor will attempt to contact the employee at the provided number one time. Overtime Rotation. The Sheriff or his or her designee will be the determining authority on the necessity of overtime. The Sheriff or his or her designee shall be responsible for calling the necessary personnel and the Employer shall maintain a current list of employees by seniority for purposes of call-in assignments. In the event that a call-out is needed and all personnel are unreachable or have refused to come in to work, the employee who is currently working with the least seniority, will automatically have to stay over and cover the next shift or he or she must find replacement coverage, subject to the provisions of Section 9.9 fourth paragraph. Overtime assignments shall be made among employees in the bargaining unit by the classification needed to perform the assignment on a rotational system. The initial rotation shall be by seniority. The Sheriff or his or her designee will call the most senior employee in the classification needed. Subsequent call-ins for overtime shall start with the most senior employee with less seniority than the employee who reported in for the previous overtime assignment. If there is a refusal to accept overtime assignments, a notation shall be made next to the refusing employee’s name indicating the hours refused. No employee shall be subject to overtime assignments if off on vacation, paid personal time or leave of absence of a personal nature. No employee shall be required or permitted to work in excess of sixteen (16) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period inclusive of overtime except in emergencies or exceptional circumstances with authorization from the Sheriff or his or her designee. Rotation of overtime as contained herein shall not include court required functions or O.U.I.L. grant functions. These exclusions are not to be used for computation or equalization of overtime assignments.
Overtime Rotation. 1. The Township has established an “on-call” rotational schedule for responding to calls after normal business hours and on weekends and paid holidays. All employees will be assigned by the Township on a rotational basis to respond to “on- call” assignments after 3:30 PM and on Saturdays, Sundays, and paid holidays. Employees will be compensated at the rate of time and one-half for 20 hours each week for fulfilling their on-call responsibilities as “stand-by” time in recognition of the inconvenience to the employee for being available as needed during these times. Failure by an employee to respond to the request for service during an employee’s rotational shift shall result in forfeiture of the 20-hour stipend for that entire week. Further, the Township reserves the right to take disciplinary action in such cases where an employee is not available and/or does not respond when called by the Police Department, Superintendent of Public Works, Township Administrator or other appropriate township official requesting service from the “on-call” Xxxxxxx. Prior to instituting disciplinary action, the township will take into account any legitimate unforeseen emergencies that arose that may have impacted the employee’s ability to respond. It shall be the sole responsibility of the employee scheduled to be on-call to make arrangements with another Xxxxxxx to cover his on-call responsibilities in the event an unforeseen emergency or event prevents the employee for fulfilling his responsibilities. In the event another Xxxxxxx agrees to cover the employee’s on-call responsibilities, it shall be the responsibility of the employee scheduled for the on- call shift to notify the Superintendent of Public Works and the Xxxxxxxx Township Police Department concerning the change in the on-call schedule accordingly.
2. Xxxxxxx who are “on-call” shall be entitled to a minimum of two (2) hours pay at time and one-half for an emergency call out occurring prior to 10:00 PM. Foremen who are “on-call” shall be entitled to a minimum of four (4) hours pay at time and one-half for an emergency call out occurring after 10:00 PM. Employees are not permitted to “pyramid” overtime during multiple emergency call outs on the same shift. Employees called out in case of emergency shall be limited to the actual hours worked in excess of the minimum call out times stated above in the case of multiple call outs on the same shift.
Overtime Rotation. All non-routine bus trips shall be offered to regular contracted drivers by seniority on a rotating basis. The most senior member will be asked first, if the most senior member refuses the work the next most senior person shall be asked to work. This procedure will be followed until the position is filled. The next time there is work available the next less senior person, after the member who worked last, will be asked. The above procedure will be followed until a member agrees to work. If all regular drivers refuse such trips, substitutes shall be requested to drive. It is agreed that bus drivers will receive a flat rate of $12.00 per hour for all out of district field trips for the entire duration of the trip with a minimum of three (3) hours. Should extra trips put a driver into an overtime situation (over 40 hours in a week) for that week, overtime will be paid on a blended rate providing the driver indicates in writing on the trip sheet that he/she is in overtime situation. In order to enable accurate overtime calculations, extra time and trips will be recorded on a weekly basis by the employee.
Overtime Rotation. Overtime will be distributed on a rotating basis in accordance with the applicable SOGs.
Overtime Rotation. Where the requirement to work overtime can be reasonably anticipated and scheduled, such overtime shall initially be offered on a rotating basis to qualified employees who have signed a volunteer list by classification at each work unit. Seasonal employees will be placed at the bottom of the list in order of seniority as defined in 3.10
Overtime Rotation. The Employer shall determine what classification overtime is to be offered in. Within the affected classification, scheduled overtime shall be offered first by seniority, on a rotation basis, to the full-time members of the bargaining unit. In the event that no full-time member of that classification agrees to work the scheduled overtime, the opportunity for overtime may be filled by other employees.
Overtime Rotation. When the Employer determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be divided among bargaining unit members within each classification and/or building as follows: Overtime will be covered by the use of an "Overtime Chart” and will be offered to each bargaining unit member in rotation based on seniority. Overtime that is refused by a bargaining unit member will be charged on the Overtime Chart for the purpose of balancing the overtime. Building checks on weekends are excluded from any rotation schedule.
Overtime Rotation. In offices employing more than one employee, overtime shall be distributed as equally as practicable among employees qualified to perform the work.
