Solidarity Fund. 20.01 With respect to this Article, the contracting parties agree to comply with An Act to Establish the Solidarity fund of Québec (F.T.Q.), hereinafter called ‘the Fund’, with the Quebec Securities Act (1982, Chapter 48) and it regulations, as well as with any other existing applicable law and regulation when the text of this Collective Agreement has no express provision for this purpose. 20.02 The Company recognizes that the duly mandated certified association acts as the Fund’s representative. 20.03 The Company undertakes to give to each employee, at the time of his first pay following signature of this Collective Agreement, a copy of the background document (prospectus) which the Union has provided him concerning the Fund approved by the Quebec Securities Commission, said document containing the Fund subscription form. 20.04 Any employee wishing to subscribe to the Fund shall fill out a membership application by completing and signing the subscription and payroll deduction form and submit it to the Union for transmission to the Company. Employees may give notice to this effect to the Union on or before October 15th and April 15th, to come into effect the following November 1st and May 1st. An employee’s contribution may not be less than one dollar ($1) per pay period, must always be in multiples of one dollar ($1) and cannot be modified or cancelled during the above-mentioned periods. 20.05 The Company agrees to deduct, at his expense, the amount indicated for each pay period; each contribution so deducted shall be exempt from seizure and shall be non-transferable, and the Company gives his consent thereto through this agreement. 20.06 The Company shall remit to the Union the contributions made by the employees to the Solidarity Fund at the same time as the Union dues and shall state, in the document accompanying the remittance, the amount contributed by each employee.
Solidarity Fund. In the event that any or all members of CUPE Local 1289 elect to contribute to the CUPE Solidarity Fund the City shall deduct the appropriate amount from the employee's pay cheque on a weekly basis and remit the deductions to the Fund Administrator on a monthly basis no later than the 10th day of the month following the month for which the deductions have been made. This will confirm mutual agreement by both parties regarding the provisions of on the job training opportunities to students of recognized educational institutions by the City of St. Xxxx's under the following conditions:
Solidarity Fund. Once a civil year, an employee may ask in wr iting, by signing the proper enrolment form, to subscribe, by the income savings method, to the "Fonds de solidarit é des travailleurs du Qu ébec" (FTQ) savings plan. The form authorizes the Employer to deduct at the source, from the employees' pay, the am ount indicated by him (the amount must be a multiple of $5.00). The authorization may be for a fixed period and the employee may withdraw it at any time, in writing. The amount originally indicated must remain unchanged, but it may be increased or decre ased once a civil year. The given authorization, or the withdrawal of the authorization, must take effect, at the latest, the third (3 rd) pay period following the Employer's reception of the written notice. At the latest, the fifteenth (15 th) day of the month following the deduction, the Employer sends to the "Fonds", by cheque, the deducted amount.

  • HUMANITY FUND The Company agrees to deduct on a weekly basis the amount of forty (40) cents per week from the wages of all employees in the bargaining unit for all hours worked and, prior to the 15th day of the month following, to pay the amount so deducted to the "Humanity Fund" and to forward such payment to United Steelworkers National Office, 000 Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0 and to advise in writing both the Humanity Fund at the aforementioned address and the local union that such payment has been made, the amount of such payment and the names of all employees in the bargaining unit on whose behalf such payment has been made. All employee deductions are voluntary and may be cancelled upon request.

  • Health Care Accountability Ordinance If Administrative Code Chapter 12Q applies to this contract, Contractor shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 12Q. For each Covered Employee, Contractor shall provide the appropriate health benefit set forth in Section 12Q.3 of the HCAO. If Contractor chooses to offer the health plan option, such health plan shall meet the minimum standards set forth by the San Francisco Health Commission. Information about and the text of the Chapter 12Q, as well as the Health Commission’s minimum standards, is available on the web at xxxx://xxxxx.xxx/olse/hcao. Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 12Q. Any Subcontract entered into by Contractor shall require any Subcontractor with 20 or more employees to comply with the requirements of the HCAO and shall contain contractual obligations substantially the same as those set forth in this Section.

  • Pollution Control The Employer and the Union agree to limit all forms of environmental pollution.

  • CLEAN AIR ACT AND THE FEDERAL WATER POLLUTION CONTROL ACT (a) If the Sub-Recipient, with the funds authorized by this Agreement, enters into a contract that exceeds $150,000, then any such contract must include the following provision: Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable standards, orders or regulations issued pursuant to the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7401-7671q) and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251-1387), and will report violations to FEMA and the Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
