Special Equipment/Uniform Provisions. 9.5.1 All special equipment shall be furnished by the District who shall be the judge as to the need of such special equipment. 9.5.2 Each employee shall be responsible for providing their own work appropriate clothing or work-related footwear appropriate to their job duties. The District shall provide raingear, respirators and required safety clothing and equipment as needed by job requirements, including six (6) pairs of coveralls for painters, roofers and welders; and gloves for painters, roofers, plumbers, and welders. 9.5.2.1 Each employee shall, on or before October 1 of each year of the contract, receive as compensation subject to withholding five hundred and fifty dollars ($550) to offset normal wear of work related clothing (including pants and footwear). 9.5.2.2 An on-the-job, verifiable incident that renders an employee's work appropriate clothing unusable and not reasonably reparable will make the employee eligible for a replacement item of clothing. Submission of the damaged item of clothing to the Department Supervisor with supportive evidence for verification of the incident or circumstances involved in the damage to the clothing item shall be the first step of the replacement process. The District shall replace the item once confirmed as qualifying for replacement as soon as possible but consistent with the budget year cycle. At no time shall the replacement cost impact the allotment total of Section 9.4.2.1. 9.5.3 The District shall furnish other appropriate clothing or safety equipment, like rubber boots and respirators, when requiring an employee to work in a health and safety hazard situation. 9.5.4 Employees may request, or the District may require training in the proper and safe application of specific products and equipment. Such training, when provided, will be at district expense. Non-required training will be provided at district expense when there is mutual agreement between the employee and the District.

New employees, once they have completed their probationary period, shall receive the allotment as current employees but prorated for the year from their hire date. 10.4.2.1 An on the job, verifiable incident that renders an employee's standardized uniform clothing unusable and not reasonably reparable, will make the employee eligible for a replacement item of clothing. Submission of the damaged item of clothing to the department supervisor with supportive evidence for verification of the incident or circumstances involved in the damage to the clothing item shall be the first step of the replacement process. The Employer shall replace the item once confirmed as qualifying for replacement as soon as possible but consistent with the budget year cycle. 10.4.3 The Employer shall furnish other appropriate clothing or safety equipment, such as rubber boots and respirators, when requiring an employee to work in a health and safety hazard situation. 10.4.4 Grounds employees assigned to perform spray/pesticide duties will be supplied all State required equipment for safe and proper application of the specific product. The employee may not apply any product without such required equipment. Training shall be provided to employees assigned to spray/pesticide work details. After application, the employee will be provided, as a part of his/her workday, a reasonable cleanup or rinse-off time. 10.4.5 Employees may request or the Employer may require training in the proper and safe application of specific products and equipment. Such training, when provided, will be at Employer expense. Non-required training will be provided at Employer expense when there is mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer.

  • Special Equipment The Employer agrees to provide specialty tools, emergency supplies/equipment, testing equipment and safety equipment as needed to perform required duties as determined and authorized by the Chief or designee. The emergency supplies/equipment will include appropriate survival provisions and equipment for each permanent Maintenance Mechanic 4 and the Law Enforcement Communications Systems Supervisor when they are performing duties that would require such provisions and equipment. When necessary, the employer will replenish used or expired survival provisions and damaged and unusable equipment. All supplies and equipment will be returned to the employer when the employee is no longer performing the duties that would require the survival provisions and/or equipment.

  • Additional Equipment Additional Equipment may from time to time be added as the subject matter of this Agreement as agreed on by the parties. Any additional property will be added in an amendment describing the property, the monthly rental, security deposit, and stipulated loss value of the additional Equipment. All amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties. Other than by this amendment procedure, this Agreement may not be amended, modified, or altered in any manner except in writing signed by both parties.

  • Ownership and Location of Metering Equipment The Metering Equipment to be constructed, the capability of the Metering Equipment to be constructed, and the ownership thereof, are identified on the attached Schedule C to this ISA.

  • Electrical Equipment Residents must use only CSA, UL-approved or Canadian-certified electrical equipment; the rated wattage of light fixtures must never be exceeded; and only replacement bulbs supplied by Waterloo maintenance staff may be used. Do not leave any unattended electrical equipment turned on (i.e. hair straighteners, lights etc.)

  • Replacement of Personal Property No personal property included as part of the Property shall be removed from the Property unless the same is replaced with similar items of at least equal quality prior to the Closing Date.

  • Mandatory equipment (a) All Employees engaged to work on site will be supplied with safety footwear and safety helmets appropriate to the work that they perform before commencing work on a Project. The safety footwear will be of an equivalent standard to those made by: (i) Steel Blue; (ii) Xxxxxx; and (iii) Mongrel Boots. (b) These items must be worn at all times as instructed during the Project induction process. (c) Helmets must not be painted, drilled or modified in any way. Damaged and/or worn footwear and helmets will be replaced on demand.

  • Equipment Covenants With respect to the Equipment: (a) upon Lender's request, Borrower shall, at its expense, at any time or times as Lender may request on or after an Event of Default, deliver or cause to be delivered to Lender written reports or appraisals as to the Equipment in form, scope and methodology acceptable to Lender and by an appraiser acceptable to Lender; (b) Borrower shall keep the Equipment in good order, repair, running and marketable condition (ordinary wear and tear excepted);

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE Each employee responding to or engaged in fire suppression activities will use the appropriate safety clothing and equipment. Each department is responsible for seeing that CAL/OSHA standards for safety clothing and equipment are provided and used for wildland firefighting. This equipment is designed for repeated use and used to treat a medical condition or illness, and includes items such as oxygen equipment, functional wheelchairs, and crutches. Durable Medical Equipment may require Prior Authorization. Only Durable Medical Equipment considered standard and/or basic as defined by nationally recognized guidelines are Covered.
