Staff Holidays. IV.A.1.a. Entitlement The following legal holidays shall be observed: January 1st, known as "New Year's Day"; Third Monday in January, known as "Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Day"; Third Monday in February, known as "President’s Day"; Last Monday in May, known as "Memorial Day"; July 4th, known as "Independence Day"; First Monday in September, known as "Labor Day"; November 11th, known as "Veteran's Day"; Thursday in November, known as "Thanksgiving Day"; Friday in November, known as the day after "Thanksgiving Day"; December 25th, known as "Christmas Day"; Any other days as may be authorized by resolution of the City Council.

An employee who Is eligible for a staff holiday In accordance with the above conditions and who performs work for the Employer on any of the said staff holidays shall be entitled to be paid at and one-half regular rate for ail time worked on such staff holiday in addition to his/her holiday pay.
