Students with Special Needs. The principal will designate appropriate personnel to meet and assist those special education students requiring special assistance. When students who are confined to wheelchairs are being loaded onto the bus at the end of the school day, the school-based employees responsible for delivery of the student to the bus stop will aid the bus attendant and owner/operator in securing the student on the lift.
Students with Special Needs. In serving students with disabilities, assistance in enabling School to comply with all applicable State and federal laws including, but not limited to, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (“Section 504”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”). Manager will provide or cause to be provided a continuum of special education services and range of placements to better enable the School to provide a free appropriate public education (“FAPE”) in the least restrictive environment (“LRE”). Itinerant, supplementary or full-time special education support will be provided via the telephone, Internet, live sessions, or in person in accordance with the student’s IEP. Manager will provide a comprehensive program using alternative curriculum for qualified students. Related services (for example, occupational or physical therapy or counseling) will be provided face-to-face via computer, in homes, at community sites, and/or in therapist offices, depending on the needs of each individual student and as provided in the student’s IEP.
Students with Special Needs. Information on students with special needs and deemed appropriate by the District will be shared on an “as needed” basis with drivers and other appropriate bargaining unit personnel. Proper use of this information will be a part of the ongoing in-service training for the Department. Upon request, bargaining unit personnel shall be given training in use of this information.
Students with Special Needs. BRMS is a public school committed to serving children with disabilities whether such children are previously or newly identified as children with disabilities. BRMS will follow the MMSD’s special education plan and program, including the provision of alternative assessment procedures that follow District, state and federal special education laws and policies. Through its policies and procedures, BRMS will comply with the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the applicable provisions of Subchapter V of Ch. 115, Wisconsin Statutes, including but not limited to, identifying, evaluating, planning programs and services and providing a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) as required by those laws.
Students with Special Needs. Bargaining unit members, with the exception of the school nurse, shall not perform any medical procedures for students.

Students with Special Needs. NMCS is a public school committed to serving children with disabilities whether such children are previously or newly identified as children with disabilities. The employer will provide the necessary personnel as required by the Special Education Operating Standards in the Ohio Administrative Code to perform any supportive services. Employees other than qualified and trained school nurses, medical technicians, and/or aides shall not be required to perform medical or custodial care procedures on students.
Students with Special Needs. Whereas the parties agree that students with special needs are better served when they can receive more of the teachers time, attention and energy and in keeping with Article 13.07(a) and (b); The parties agree, at the request of either, to meet, discuss and arrive at solutions to, problems arising in the application of clauses 13.07(a) and (b).
Students with Special Needs. Drivers assigned to transport disabled, special education, and early intervention program students shall be given special training, at Contractor's expense, concerning the techniques of handling such children. The School District reserves the right to place its own personnel on these vehicles to assist these students for physical, emotional, or disciplinary reasons.
