Supplemental Hours. Bargaining unit members who hold a supplemental contract within Firelands Local School District requiring the supervision of students after school shall be permitted to leave at the end of the student school day for the purpose of commencing supplemental duties with the exception of those days when scheduled staff meetings occur.
Supplemental Hours. 3.10.1 The Agency shall be responsible for the assignment of all assignable extra work as outlined in this Article to all regularly employed drivers.
3.10.2 All employees who wish to be placed on a roster(s) will sign the appropriate rosters. These lists will be organized in order of seniority and are available in the Operations Office.
3.10.3 Three separate extra work rosters will be established as follows:
a. School day trips
b. Weekend/holiday trips
c. Evening trips where return time is 5:00 p.m. or later.
3.10.4 An attempt will be made to assign trips to drivers in their assigned bus; however, for groups that require a higher capacity (a bus with luggage space, etc.); the trip will be assigned with the appropriate bus. Drivers not proficient in every bus in the yard, it is understood, will offer the less flexibility in assigning them trips. Proficiency is defined by 13 CCR 1229 “Motor carriers shall require each driver to demonstrate that the driver is capable of safely operating each different type of vehicle or vehicle combination (i.e., vehicles with different controls, gauges, of different size, or requiring different driving skills) before driving such vehicle(s) on a highway unsupervised. The driver’s capability to operate the vehicle shall include special equipment such as wheelchair lifts, ramps, or wheelchair tie downs.” Proficiency shall include, but not be limited to, the ability to drive 78/79 and 87 passenger buses. The driving skills referred to above may be proficiency in the city driving, rural driving, mountain driving and the like. Proficiency shall be determined by the Driver Instructor(s) and demonstration of proficiency of vehicles different from that driven on a daily route may be required every two (2) years.
3.10.5 Drivers signing a work roster understand that they shall be willing to accept all work assigned. On the day of the trip, any assigned trip may be reassigned or shuttled depending on the need of the Agency to cover regular routes. A special education driver may request to have a portion of the trip shuttled (if possible). The Agency will attempt to schedule trips for special education drivers that do not conflict with their route time to minimize this effect. If a trip is canceled or completely reassigned as described above within four (4) hours of the trip time the driver will be offered the next available trip.
3.10.6 The driver will not suffer any loss from their normal contract hours if the assignment is altered as...
Supplemental Hours. For those office professionals who have regularly been assigned supplemental hours at the beginning of the work year compensated with time off, the District shall add the number of hours to their annual assignment as regular work hours, subject to annual review in establishing the next year’s work year.
Supplemental Hours. 7.5.1 Supplemental hours are hours provided by the District for training and Professional Development. These are hours that must be worked and documented to be paid. Supplemental hours will be paid at per diem. If a teacher is working in their capacity as a District employee for a conflicting event that is required for their job, they will be paid for the Mandatory Supplemental hours, even if they are unable to attend. All leaves will apply to hours designated as part of the base contract.
7.5.2 The following 36.5 Supplemental Hours will be scheduled throughout the school year: • Twenty-two (22) hours of District-directed time for professional learning and collaboration will be flexibly scheduled between the two-week period prior to the first day of instruction and the last day of school. Beginning in the 2019-20 school year, seven (7) of these hours (one (1) day) will be part of the employee’s base contract. Beginning in 2020-21 school year, an additional 3.5 hours will be part of the employee’s base contract. • Three half days totaling 10.5 hours will be scheduled throughout the school year. These days will be District Directed. Beginning in the 2019-20 school years, seven (7) of these hours (one day) will be part of the employee’s base contract. Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, the remaining 3.5 hours will be part of the employee’s base contract. • 2 hours will be performed at each site’s annual Open House 2 hours will be flexibly scheduled to complete the Safe Schools course requirements before the deadline.
Supplemental Hours. 1. Employees will work an additional 15 hours beyond the contracted basic education work year hours and the professional responsibility stipend. This work will be directed by the principal/supervisor and used to support the following activities: - School improvement planning and implementation - Grade level and cross grade level collaboration - Whole school collaboration - Cross district collaboration - Refinement of instructional strategies - Professional study groups If a certificated staff member is unable to participate due to a personal emergency, the staff member can work with his/her principal/supervisor to arrange to make up this time when possible. In addition to the time described above, employees may work an additional 3 days at their discretion. These days will be added to the schedule at a rate of one day per year of the agreement. In the 2012-13 school year and thereafter, an additional day will be scheduled between high school semesters. In the 2013-2014 school year and thereafter, one day will be available, at the employee’s discretion, during the two weeks prior to the start of the school year. In the 2014-15 school year and thereafter, an additional day will be available during the two weeks before the school year or the two weeks after the school year, at the employee’s discretion. Activities appropriate for these days may include, but are not limited to the classroom preparation, clean up, the preparation of classes or the preparation of grades. Documentation for these days will be by a sign-in sheet which will be held in the main office of each building on the designated work day(s). When possible, employees should have the option of several open dates upon which these duties will be completed.
Supplemental Hours. 24 At the beginning of each school year the District will post the opportunity for those interested in 25 obtaining supplemental hours, i.e., gym supervision. Those interested in obtaining supplement hours 26 will submit a letter of interest to the Superintendent. When the need for supplemental hours arise, the 27 Superintendents or designee will offer/assign hours to those who have submitted a letter of interest. 28 Positions will be awarded in accordance with Section 10.6.
Supplemental Hours. If the Airport Sponsor requests ATC services outside of FAA approved tower hours of operation, the provision of such additional services shall be at the expense of the Airport Sponsor. These supplemental hours of operation may be achieved through an agreement with the air traffic control services provider, supplemental agreement with the FAA, or by other authorized means.
Supplemental Hours. The District and the Association understand and agree that if “supplemental hours” are made available in any bargaining unit classification represented by the Association during the term of this Agreement, these hours will be offered to those employees who apply under the following conditions:
1. Unit members working part-time will be eligible for supplemental hour assignments.
2. Each eligible unit member will be offered supplemental hours as supplemental hours become available in the position classification the unit member is permanently assigned.
3. The District shall offer supplemental hours to each eligible employee in order of seniority. Seniority is defined as length of service with the District (employee's initial hire date).
4. Any offering of supplemental hours will be made on a District-wide basis.
5. The District shall compensate each eligible employee who is assigned supplemental hours at the hourly rate the employee is currently paid in his/her regular permanent assignment
6. Supplemental hours which are in excess of the employee's permanent or regular assignment shall not be counted towards receiving fringe benefits under Article IV of the Classified Agreement.
Supplemental Hours. If the Airport Sponsor requests MATCT services outside of FAA approved tower hours of operation, the provision of such additional services shall be at the expense of the Airport Sponsor, unless otherwise agreed to. These supplemental hours of operation may be achieved through an agreement with the air traffic control services provider, supplemental agreement with the FAA, or by other authorized means.

District Directed Enrichment Activities Employees will work an additional 30 hours beyond the contracted basic education work year hours and the professional responsibility stipend. This work will be directed by the principal/supervisor and used to support the following enrichment activities: - School improvement planning and implementation - Grade level and cross grade level collaboration - Whole school collaboration - Cross district collaboration - Refinement of instructional strategies - Professional study groups - Professional development If a certificated staff member is unable to participate due to a personal emergency, the staff member can work with his/her principal/supervisor to arrange to make up this time when possible.
2. Two non-student days will be embedded within the school year to provide space for professional development. These will be November 13 and February 16. These professional development hours may also occur in August 2017, August 2018 or at other times outside of the contracted work day and work year. If a certificated staff member is unable to participate in scheduled activities due to a personal emergency, the staff member can work with his/her supervisor to arrange to make up this time if possible. If the scheduled activities, by mutual agreement, do not pertain to a certificated staff member, the staff member can work with his/her supervisor to arrange to make up this time if possible. These days will be optional, and can be documented by a sign in sheet on the day of the scheduled training or by timesheet which will be submitted to the building principal. Counselors, nurses and other specialists with mutual approval of their supervisor, may flex non-student days. Submission for pay for these days can be by time sheet or by sign in sheets on the non-students days at the staff member’s discretion.
