Temporary Total Disability. If your residence employee temporarily becomes totally disabled from injuries received in the accident within the following 14 days and cannot work at any job, we will pay weekly indemnity up to 26 weeks while such disability continues. We will not pay for the first 7 days unless the disability lasts for 6 weeks or more.

16-1 1-1 Teachers who have been injured on the job, within the course and scope of their employment, and are temporarily unable to perform their essential job functions, will be paid their full salary for up to four (4) months from their date of injury. Within the four (4) month period, teachers will either be taken off of work by their authorized treating physician or released to modified duty. The District has a commitment to all their teachers to provide modified duty. If the injured teacher is still unable to perform their essential job functions after the four (4) month period, they will be placed on Temporary Total Disability. This is paid by Workers' Compensation up to the statutory maximum. Teachers have the option to supplement their Temporary Total Disability with sick time that they have accrued. They will remain on Temporary Total Disability until released by the primary treating physician.
Temporary Total Disability. An employee injured on the job and determined by the authorized treating physician to be temporarily totally disabled shall be covered by the State's Worker Compensation statutes. Commencing on the first day post injury, the City will pay to the employee an amount equal to the difference between the insurance compensation received and 100% of the employee's normal salary for a period of fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days or until the employee is released to Light Duty, whichever occurs first. Should the employee's incapacitation extend beyond fourteen calendar days, the employee may choose to use accumulated sick leave first, and other accumulated paid leaves if they have no sick leave, to supplement the Workers Compensation benefit up to 100% of their regular weekly pay

Only the physician authorized by the City of Tampa Claims Section is authorized to determine the temporary total disability recovery date.

Temporary Total Disability. 1. If the injured employee is temporarily unable to perform his or her job or any alternative work offered by the employer, he or she shall be entitled to receive compensation equal to seventy percent (70%) of the injured employee's average weekly wage, but not to exceed seventy percent (70%) of the state average weekly wage, for one hundred four (104) weeks. Provided, there shall be no payment for the first three (3) days of the initial period of temporary total disability. If an administrative law judge finds that a consequential injury has occurred and that additional time is needed to reach maximum medical improvement, temporary total disability may continue for a period of not more than an additional fifty-two (52) weeks. Such finding shall be based upon a showing of medical necessity by clear and convincing evidence.
2. When the injured employee is released from active medical treatment by the treating physician for all body parts found by the Commission to be injured, or in the event that the employee, without a valid excuse, misses three consecutive medical treatment appointments, fails to comply with medical orders of the treating physician, or otherwise abandons medical care, the employer shall be entitled to terminate temporary total disability by notifying the employee, or if represented, his or her counsel. Temporary Total Disability. If You suffer Accidental Bodily Injury during the Policy Period which completely prevents You from engaging in Your Occupation, then We will make a weekly payment of Rs. 5,000/- to You. We will make the payment when You satisfy Us that the Accidental Bodily Injury has completely prevented You from engaging Head Office & Regd. Temporary Total Disability. If an Insured Person suffers an Injury due to an Accident that occurs during the Travel Period and that Injury solely and directly results in the disability of the Insured Person which prevents the Insured Person from engaging in any employment or occupation on a temporary basis, then We will pay the amount specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance at the frequency specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance for the duration that the Temporary Total Disability continues. This Benefit will be payable provided that:
a. This Benefit shall be paid only if the Temporary Total Disability continues for a period of at least the minimum number of days specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance from the date of commencement of Temporary Total Disability.
b. This Benefit shall not be paid in excess of the Insured Person’s base income at the time of injury excluding overtime, bonuses, tips, commissions, or any other compensation for the period specified in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance;
c. This Benefit shall not be payable in respect of the Insured Person for more than the maximum number of days specified in the Certificate of Insurance for each Coverage Period.
d. We will not make any payment under this Benefit if We have already paid or accepted any claims under this Benefit in respect of the Insured Person and the total amount paid or payable under the claims is cumulatively greater than the Sum Insured specified against this Benefit in the Policy Schedule / Certificate of Insurance.
e. If a claim is accepted under this Benefit in respect of an Insured Person and the amount due under this Benefit and claims already admitted under Benefit 1.1 (Accidental Death Benefit), Benefit 1.2 (Permanent Total Disability), Benefit 1.3 (Permanent Partial Disability) and Benefit 1.4 (Temporary Total Disability) in respect of the Insured Person will cumulatively exceed the Common Death or Disability Sum Insured then Our maximum, total and cumulative liability under any and all such claims will be limited to the Common Death or Disability Sum Insured.
