Temporary XxxxxxxTemporary foremen positions due to scheduled absences of permanent foremen, or for specific projects, shall be posted for at least three (3) working days prior to selection.
Temporary Xxxxxxx. 29.01 In the event that the Employer, or his designee, determines the need to temporarily appoint a bargaining unit employee to a xxxxxxx or a supervisory position for a minimum of eight (8) hours, said employee shall receive fifty cents (50¢) per hour in addition to his regular rate of pay. 29.02 A working temporary xxxxxxx is a bargaining unit employee selected by his supervisor. The working temporary xxxxxxx is to direct fellow workers in the tasks to be done in order to accomplish work described to him by his supervisor. This direction is to be given by the working temporary xxxxxxx and taken by the work crew members and carried out to the completion by each in a professional and courteous manner. It is not the responsibility of the working temporary xxxxxxx to administer company policy. This remains with the supervisors.
Temporary XxxxxxxThe purpose of this agreement is to set guidelines for Temporary Xxxxxxx'x pay.
Temporary XxxxxxxMaintenance Department: The Company Representative will first ask qualified employees to fill the temporary assignment. If none are available, the Employer, at its discretion, may appoint one or more Move‐Up Foremen in the Maintenance Department at a rate of 7% four dollars and twenty‐five cents ($4.25) an hour over their regular rate of pay. The Company Representative determines the duties and work schedule assigned to Move‐Up Foremen. The Move‐Up Xxxxxxx will remain a member of the Bargaining Unit continuing to accumulate seniority. The following two limits apply except during turnarounds, shutdowns, and plant emergencies. Individual temporary assignments will not exceed 180 calendar days per year. No more than 15% of the Maintenance employees can be on a temporary assignment at the same time. The Company will endeavor to ensure that temporary assignments do not adversely impact the ability of maintenance employees to exercise vacation rights. Maintenance employees on temporary assignment will be eligible for forced overtime unless they are already working on the same day in their temporary assignment. For purposes of voluntary overtime, maintenance employees on temporary assignment will be the last on the overtime sign‐up list to be asked to volunteer to work overtime on a day week on which they are working a temporary assignment. Maintenance employees forced into a temporary assignment will not be required to supervise (i.e., recommend or impose discipline on) other bargaining unit personnel; provided that nothing in this provision limits those maintenance employees forced into a temporary assignment from providing work assignments and work direction to bargaining unit personnel at any time.
Temporary XxxxxxxEmployees who are temporarily promoted to Temporary Xxxxxxx will receive $4.60 per hour above the highest pay rate in the Occupational Group.
Temporary XxxxxxxThe Xxxxxxx Library understands that Xxxx must pay the employee overtime pay whenever the employee works more than 40 hours in a workweek in any non-exempt capacity for Rice, regardless of which Rice department the work occurs. If any Rice overtime hours are worked for Xxxxxxx Library, the department agrees to pay this non-exempt Xxxx employee overtime pay for this work at his/her overtime rate, which is based upon the weighted average pay rate for the employee’s positions.
Temporary Xxxxxxx. When the Company deems it necessary to fill a xxxxxxx position on a temporary basis with an employee who works in a classification listed in Schedule "A" & "B", the Company will fill the Temporary Xxxxxxx classification under the following conditions: A. When promoting an employee to Temporary Xxxxxxx, consideration shall be given to seniority in his Occupational Group. If a promotion is not given to the employee with seniority, such employee shall be given the reasons, if so requested by the employee or his representative. B. The promotion is subject to Article 11, Section 4.
Temporary XxxxxxxThe words "temporary, seasonal, or casual Xxxxxxx" shall mean any Xxxxxxx employed ninety (90) calendar days or less. The period such Xxxxxxx may remain as “temporary” may be extended, to a maximum of one hundred and eighty (180) days with express agreement from the Union. Temporary, seasonal, and casual Xxxxxxx are not subject to the terms in this Agreement.
