Trade Employees. Employees while in full time attendance at a trade school shall continue receiving all benefits provided under Article of this Collective Agreement. Such employee's sick leave, vacation and seniority accruals shall not be pro-rated as a result of full time attendance at the said trade school. During the contract year April to March the Safely Footwear Subsidy for Permanent and Probationary Employees, as determined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Regulations for Construction Projects will be in the amount of Eighty-Five Dollars ($85.00) per annum. During the year April to March the Safety Footwear Subsidy for Permanent and Probationary Employees, as determined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Regulations for Construction Projects will be in the amount of Ninety-Five Dollars ($95.00) per annum. During the contract year April to March the Safety Footwear Subsidy for Permanent and Probationary Employees, as determined by the Health and Safety Act, and Regulations for Construction Projects will be in the amount of One hundred and Five Dollars ($105.00) per annum. The Safety Footwear Allowance will be paid out as a "non-taxable" allowance on the first full pay period in May of each year. The wearing of footwear must also be in conformance with the City of Safety Policies. The same subsidy provisions will be provided to those Permanent and Probationary Employees designated by the Employer to wear safety footwear. Both Parties agree that the provisions of this Article do not apply to Student or Temporary Employees. The Employer agrees to pay a Tool Allowance of Two Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($230.00)for the contract year April to March 1997; Two Hundred and Forty Dollars ($240.00) for the contract year April to March 1998; and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for the contract year April to March to each of the employees permanentlyclassified as Licensed Mechanics, Mechanic Welder, Small Motor Mechanic, Lead Hand Mechanic and Helper Such amounts shall be paid on the second pay period in January of each year.   • TIME EMPLOYEES 61.01 Definition Part-time employee means an employee whose weekly scheduled hours of work on average are less than those established in Article 24 (Hours of Work) but not less than those prescribed in the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations Act.

  • DNR Employees An employee of the Department of Natural Resources may meet the basic eligibility requirement for participation in the Group Insurance Program based on a combination of seasonal and temporary project employment. Eligibility commences after completion of three (3) years of continuous service in which the basic eligibility requirements are met; continues until the employee completes a year in which the basic eligibility requirements are not met; and commences again after the employee meets or is anticipated to meet the basic eligibility requirements in one (1) year.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Hour Employees When a death occurs to a spouse or child of a full-time employee who works a seven and one-half (7.5) hour day, the employee will be granted a leave of absence and will be paid seven and one-half (7.5) hours at her/his regular rate of pay for up to five (5) consecutive scheduled working days in the six (6) calendar day period beginning with the date of death. Time paid for while on bereavement leave will count as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime. A full-time nurse who works a seven and one-half (7.5) hour day shall be granted three (3) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay for scheduled hours, in conjunction with the day of the funeral for other members of her or his immediate family, namely, parents, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandparent of spouse or grandchild.

  • Office Employees The normal work day shall consist of a scheduled period of seven (7) hours of work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The normal work week shall consist of five (5) such days, Monday to Friday inclusive. Any clerical Employee assigned to work in the Public Works Yard Office will have his/her hours of work adjusted to coincide with the finishing time of outside Employees.

  • Active Employees Active Employees who have not terminated service during the Plan Year and who meet the following requirements (select all that apply; leave blank if no exclusions):

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.
