Translating. A teacher who performs written or oral language translation of at least fifteen (15) minutes in length will be compensated as provided in Appendix C, when such translation is to be completed outside of the normal teacher workday, during the teacher's duty-free lunch, or during the teacher's preparation time, including preparation time occurring before or after the student attendance day.
Translating. Any ELL Paraprofessional who is required or requested to complete translation of documents outside of their workday will be compensated at their hourly rate. In the event this causes total hours worked to exceed forty (40) hours for the week, time and one half will be paid.
Translating. 3 Level 1: Unit members whose job description do not otherwise require bilingual oral 4 conversation skills and who provide translation at the request of an 5 administrator/supervisor shall be paid an additional $500 stipend annually. A 6 conversation-based assessment must be taken and passed to qualify. All unit members 7 who qualify for Level 1 stipend shall attend an annual meeting regarding translation 8 support.

Translating. If a bargaining unit employee is required by a Principal or District-level Administrator to serve as a translator at an IEP meeting, domains meeting, parent-teacher conference, disciplinary meeting or administrator-parent meeting during his/her workday for greater than five (5) minutes, such employee will be compensated, in addition to his/her normal hourly rate, at the rate of $10.00 per hour or pro rata thereof in fifteen (15) minute increments.
Translating. Employees who have met the criteria and are compensated for bilingual incentive pay must use those skills whenever the need arises. Employees may be asked to assist an individual who is doing business with the City at worksites other than their primary work location.
