Turnaround Schools. The parties agree that the District designated Turnaround Schools will continue to struggle as low performing schools without a systematic approach for supporting and providing resources to these schools. During the term of this Agreement, the parties agree to form a working group that, in conjunction with the Turnaround School Planning Group, will identify common barriers to reform that may be addressed in this Agreement. After mutual agreement through the bargaining process, decisions will be reached on how to best address the identified contract language. Possible solutions may entail a Memorandum of Understanding, removal or modification of identified contractual provisions, maintenance of provisions, or approving waivers, as needed, to better facilitate the work in these schools.

Turnaround Schools. The parties agree that the District designated Innovation School Improvement (ISI) will continue to struggle as low performing schools without a systematic approach for supporting and providing resources to these schools. During the term of this Agreement, the parties agree to form a working group that, in conjunction with the ISI Planning Group, will identify common barriers to reform that may be addressed in this Agreement. After mutual agreement through the bargaining process, decisions will be reached on how to best address the identified contract language. Possible solutions may entail a Memorandum of Understanding, removal or modification of identified contractual provisions, maintenance of provisions, or approving waivers, as needed, to better facilitate the work in these schools.
Turnaround Schools. In the event that any under-performing school in the District becomes managed by an entity other than the local School Board and Superintendent, a. any employees that request a transfer from that school shall be placed in comparable positions at another school before any new employees are hired, provided that the transferring employee has an Effective evaluation rating or higher from the previous year and possesses the job qualifications, training, and/or certification; b. employees with Professional Service Contracts or Continuing Service contracts shall be given priority in transfer requests over employees with probationary or annual contracts; c. any employees who remain employed at that school will be considered “on leave” and their time spent at that school shall not constitute a break in service should they transfer to another district-managed school at a later date or should their school return to district management.
Turnaround Schools shall strive for a model of collaboration and shared decision-making at the school site.
Turnaround Schools. (signed 7/23/14): This is a continuation of bonuses and incentives for teachers in schools identified as “Turnaround Schools” under Differentiated Accountability.
Turnaround Schools. In accordance with Florida Statute 1012.22, effective 1 July 1, 2022, instructional staff assigned to schools that received a grade of “F” 2 or “D” will be eligible for the Turnaround Schools supplement in the amount 3 of $4,000.00 and the supplement will remain in effect for at least one (1) year 4 following improvement in the school grade. (c) Critical Shortage Area: In accordance with Florida Statute 1012.22, 6 instructional staff who are certified and teaching in a Critical Shortage Area, as 7 identified by the Florida Department of Education (FL DOE), will receive a 8 supplement in the amount of $200.00. 1 11.01 - BOARD PROVIDED BENEFITS: The Board will provide major medical insurance 2 through the District’s medical plan and group term life insurance for all eligible 4 through a program offered by Aetna Inc. (Aetna). 6 (1) Eligibility: Employees who are regularly scheduled to work thirty (30) or more 7 hours per work week are eligible for Board provided medical and life insurance 8 coverage as described in this article; except that, employees who were employed with 9 the Board as of January 4, 1996, and who were, at that date, and continue to be, 10 regularly scheduled to work twenty (20) or more hours per work week, shall continue 11 to be eligible for Board provided major medical insurance and group term life 12 insurance as described in this article. 14 11.02 FLEX CREDITS: Effective April 1, 2023, the Board shall contribute $9,213.60 into 15 Flex Credits for each employee who is enrolled in Board-Provided Benefits and an 16 additional $4,000.00 for each employee who elects to enroll in spouse or dependent 17 coverage 19 (1) Application: Flex Credits are to be applied by employees toward the purchase 20 of their own major medical insurance, dependent medical insurance, dental 21 insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, and/or 22 cancer insurance.

  • Dispatch and Scheduling 6.1.1 The SPD shall be entirely responsible to schedule its power as per the applicable regulations / requirements / guidelines of CERC / SERC /SLDC / RLDC or any other competent agency and same being recognized by the RLDC/SLDC or any other competent authority / agency as per applicable regulation/ law / direction and maintain compliance to the applicable Codes/ Grid Code requirements and directions, if any, as specified by concerned SLDC/RLDC from time to time. Any deviation from the schedule will attract the provisions of applicable regulation / guidelines / directions and any financial implication on account of this shall be on the account of the SPD. 6.1.2 The SPD shall be responsible for directly coordinating and dealing with the Buying Entity, State Load Dispatch Centres, Regional Power Committees, and other authorities in all respects in regard to declaration of availability, scheduling and dispatch of power and due compliance with deviation and settlement mechanism and the applicable Grid code Regulations, acknowledging that the SPD and Buying Entity are the Grid connected entities and SECI as an Intermediary Procurer/ trading licensee is not a Grid connected entity in respect of the power contracted under this Agreement. 6.1.3 The SPD shall be responsible for any deviation from scheduling and for any resultant liabilities on account of charges for deviation as per applicable regulations. UI charges on this account shall be directly paid by the SPD. 6.1.4 Auxiliary power consumption will be treated as per the concerned Central/State regulations. 6.1.5 Further, in case of any difference in scheduled energy at the interfaces of all the RLDCs concerned for the corridor of the power flow, including the RLDC of the Buying Entity, SECI will make payments corresponding to the lowest of the individual energy values to the SPD, until rectification of the above error.
