UNAUTHORIZED LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 24.1 Absence without leave of an employee, whether voluntary or involuntary, for five consecutive working days is an automatic resignation from state service, as of the last date on which the employee worked and shall be handled in accordance with Education Code sections 89541 and 89542.

UNAUTHORIZED LEAVES OF ABSENCE. It is agreed and understood that there will be no strike, work stoppage, slow- down or refusal or failure to fully perform assigned job functions and that commission of said activities will constitute unauthorized leave from District job responsibilities. Any employee who participates in any unauthorized leave may be subject to discipline.
UNAUTHORIZED LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 24.1 The President shall have the right to initiate termination proceedings against an employee who is absent without leave, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, for forty (40) consecutive working hours.   • LEAVES OF ABSENCE Article 11 applies for both paid and unpaid leaves. For the purposes of an unpaid 11.25 hour shift, the deduction from pay shall equate to 14.05 hours. For the purposes of an unpaid 7.5 hour shift, the deduction from pay shall equate to 9.375 hours.
